“Mark is THE MAN.
While living in Orange County CA we had a bad experience with our first realtor who had us put in an offer on a house for $15k more than what it was appraised for and still couldn’t make the deal happen. Mark got us the same house for us UNDER appraised value even with another offer on the table. He worked days, nights and weekends ensuring we were kept in the loop while being so far away.
Our first day in Austin was the day we signed for the house. Mark went that morning to check the house and ensure it was in good shape after the previous owners had moved out. Then at signing, he found a mistake in the loan documents and saved us an extra $1k!
If it wasn’t for Mark, I honestly don’t know where we would be.
Thank you Mark for your honestly and dedication to looking out for our best interest.”

“I do not write many Yelp reviews but I feel like Mark truly deserves one. Moving to Austin from Chicago was a very nerve wrecking experience and we were very fortunate that we found Mark online (via Yelp). From the very first contact with him we came away impressed with how quick he would respond and he showed that he actually cared about his clients. Alex and Mark made themselves completely available to us during the very limited time we had to look at homes. We learned more from them during that small window of time than we did during the many months we researched online!
Mark has a vast amount of experience with the Austin real estate market and he was able to help guide us with our very unique home requirements. We found our Austin dream home thanks to Mark and can easily say we would use him again for any real estate needs. Mark and his team deserves the highest recommendation from our family.
Thank you again Mark!”

“We are buying our house long distance, living in DC and buying in Austin, moving AFTER closing. I’m generally suspicious of agents as they usually act like used car salesmen or infomercial hosts (fake), in fact for the last few house purchases my family would buy by owner to avoid agents. my sister in Austin recommended Cory and I was doubtful from go, however, I scheduled a FaceTime tour of a house with Cory and she impressed the socks off of me. Here’s what I love about Cory: – she never makes you feel rushed or pressured. – she makes you feel like she has all the time in the world for you, that you are her only client. – she will go the distance! she showed me houses through FaceTime, would drive around neighborhoods and send me photos, she attended my inspection for me because I was 2000 miles away (people, that’s 2-3 hours of going around with the inspector). – yes yes I know this is what agents do, but she does all this in a way that feels like a family would do for you: patient, calm, cheerful, and the cherry on top is her sense of humor. – she knows houses, not just the market. she can point out problems that you might not know about houses. she won’t be afraid to give her critical opinion. – she gets to know you, then chooses houses based on your needs. – she’s got integrity! i just want Cory as my friend now guys. want an agent that feels like a friend or family member that you trust and adore? GOTTA GET CORY.”

“Patrick was a huge help. He answered my questions same day as I’d email them and was very personable over the phone. I had never even been to Austin before moving there and he made the entire transition a lot smoother. He even went so far as to go to the properties for me and take pictures himself so I could get a better view of what it looked like. All without my even asking to do so although it turned out to be highly helpful.”

“From the moment we started considering looking for a home in the outskirts of Austin, Ashley Jamieson with Strüb Residential went above and beyond to help us through the process of finding the house of our dreams. My wife and I joked (with a tone of earnestness) that Ashley knew us better than our therapists after the whole process. We were moving back to Texas from our year-long stay in California and as soon as we got a call-back from Ashley we knew we were in good hands. She helped narrow us down to looking at mostly new homes and helped actively manage our favorites and possibilities. A couple weeks before we were visiting to look for (and ultimately select) a house, a few of our must-sees were snatched off the market and we basically panicked. Ashley helped calm us down and came up with a strategy to help quell our fears of losing out on the house of our dreams. She even went to the lengths of visiting one property before we came out and FaceTime-ing us to give us the ability to see it in real time. Fast forward to the visit and Ashley remained incredibly flexible through a couple of flip-flops in our sentiment. We ultimately found a house that went above-and-beyond to meet our needs and desires near Dripping Springs, and we couldn’t be happier with the whole process. Since we had to go back to California until closing, she also did walk throughs to make sure the builder/project manager covered all of the issues on the inspection report. Me and my wife have now worked with several realtors (both buyer- and seller-side) and we can earnestly say we didn’t know a realtor on the buyer-side could be this amazing! Thanks for everything, Ashley! “

“My husband and I embarked upon what we thought would be a difficult endeavor: buying a home in Austin whilst living in China. Having never lived and hardly even visited Austin, we knew virtually nothing about the city and knew absolutely no one. Utilizing our digital resources, we narrowed our realtor search and sent Mark Strüb an email. He responded quickly, was enthusiastic about helping us and was wiling to meet our unusual and very limited window of time to visit. We had 2 days to see and learn as much as possible, and if we found a place that interested us, we would put in an offer. We would not have the opportunity to return to Austin for several months.
Before getting started, Mark took the time to get to know us and what we are about so that he could match our limited time with what would most likely would be a good match for us. This was the most critical phase of our time with Mark as it informed every move and interaction we experienced between our first meeting, all the way through home ownership.
We looked at a wide variety and number of homes but it was the education that we needed. With each place we immediately felt comfortable talking very openly about what we liked and didn’t, which allowed Mark to tailor the rest of our time quickly, pivoting when needed. Within two days, we settled on a home. We spent over a year in other cities with other realtors and never came remotely close to a purchase. With Mark, we felt like every moment of our time was well spent either in education or decision making that led us to the moment of deciding to buy.
Strüb Residential used technology every step of the way, which allowed us to purchase our home 15 hours in advance of Austin and half a world away. We were never concerned about security or timeliness as Mark and his entire team were on top of all details associated with purchasing. Everyone he has recommend from loans to post-purchase services has been lovely to work with. After researching for potentially better-for-us vendors, we have yet to go with anyone other than who he recommended.
Overall, not only do we highly recommend Mark and his team, we are excited to buy again! His knowledge of Austin, attention to details that matter and clear love for what he does is exactly what we were looking for in a realtor. We are thrilled with our new place, are really looking forward to living in Austin and to our next purchase with Mark and the team at Strüb!”

“When we looked into Austin real-estate, we had very specific needs — but limited exposure to all the intricacies of Austin neighborhoods. We live in Houston but wanted to establish a weekend home in the capital city. Mark and his team had the exact information we needed – and were able to quickly understand our goals and give us the insight we needed.
Mark quickly became a partner in our search – with keen intuition as to what worked for our lifestyle and what we should exclude. He never wasted our time (or his). His insight is unique; his style is personal. He is a pro – in every sense of the word – and his candor in working with us made all the difference.”
“Mark has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty to make my home purchase possible. My situation was an especially difficult one; with a less competent REALTOR, I couldn’t have done it. Mark made it happen within my budget, on schedule, and with style.
As a foreigner unfamiliar with local neighborhoods, and with little credit history, many REALTORS would have told me that buying a home during my first year in Austin was impossible, but not Mark. He was up for the challenge and succeeded with flying colours. Mark has always been quick to respond to even the most unorthodox of questions, and cheerful in the face of my thirst for knowledge about the process of buying a home, financing my purchase, different neighborhoods, house construction, and anything else that came to mind. Whenever I called to check on progress, he was already on to the next issue.
He is especially attuned to the needs of young home-buyers, such as budget and location specifications. He also uses technology very effectively to keep the lines of communication open. Mark is truly concerned with providing a quality real estate experience. He followed through with me even beyond closing to make sure that I was fully satisfied. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend
Mark to my closest friends, and to any home buyer or seller who enjoys working with competent, intelligent people. I look forward to working with him again when it comes time to sell my home.
“The perception I had of a Real Estate agent was that of a very pushing individual more interested in speeding up a sale than in assessing and fulfilling the real needs of the customer. Additionally, since I was coming from out of state the distance added more of that risk factor to my buying experience. From the first minute I spoke with Mark over the phone, he immediately got my interest due to his obvious knowledge and ample experience of both the current trends and the future of Austin market. His approach is very relaxed, yet his recommendations are clear, concise and very professional. After carefully assessing my needs, he put together a comprehensive list of properties that matched my budget, size and expected location. He even drove me to several properties I was interested in until we got exactly what we expected. My buying experience could not have been more rewarding and after a couple of searching weeks we are in the right track to ownership thanks to a real professional as Mark Strub. And as for my perception, at least for now it has dissipated thanks to a real Real Estate Agent.”
“I recently decided to move to Austin to attend graduate school. The problem was that I lived 500 miles away. I did a quick google search and found Strub Residential and I picked them because they were the highest rated realtors I could find in Austin. I called and Mark answered the phone. He was very kind and professional and passed me off to a guy on his team named Alex who covers the South Austin area. I wasn’t sure if that was a good thing at first as I hadn’t researched Alex, but Alex did an amazing job. We dealt with unprofessional realtors, private sellers, a loan officer who quit her job in the process of writing my loan and we had to start over, and houses that were selling in less than a day (spring of 2015 was a crazy market). Alex stuck with me through all of it and we found a little place that was exactly what I needed.
I am very involved in the house buying process and have in previous purchases felt that the realtor’s fee’s were too high for essentially just filling out the paperwork for me for a house I had found without their assistance. That wasn’t the case here at all. I couldn’t have possibly gotten this done without Alex. He protected me from a lot of things I didn’t know were problems and I felt very confident that he was managing the sale. I usually worry about things, but I left it all in his hands, and I think we had a little bit of fun too.
So thanks, Alex. I would recommend Strub Real Estate highly and Alex specifically. If you are worried about the right team to call, you don’t have to look any further. I really couldn’t imagine getting anything less than stellar service.”
“When faced with relocating to Austin, good friends suggested we work with Mark Strub. I called Mark on a rainy day in February and immediately felt a connection with him. While I rambled on about where I thought we wanted to live, Mark was great about listening between the lines and grasping the lifestyle my husband and I were looking for. Having lived here while I was getting my masters, I had a limited knowledge of the real estate available, and was crushed to learn of the prices in the neighborhoods I knew about. Mark took the lead and showed us a few properties in Great Hills and we instantly felt a connection to the area, and especially to the home we purchased.
Real estate is about so much more than buying or selling a property. It also takes the expertise of a real estate agent who is willing to take the time to get to know the client and understand their lifestyle and dreams. I highly recommend Mark Strub and will definitely use him in the future.”
“I really enjoyed working with Mark– This is not my first time buying a home and this is not my first Realtor experience; Mark was GREAT.
I am new to Austin, so at first he took me around the ‘areas’ just to get a feel for what I would like… He doesn’t provide any ‘used-car salesman’ pressure, he truly listens to what you like and I was also impressed that he suggested properties that were lower in price than the ones I had suggested to him– He isn’t looking to make the biggest commission, but more so, to make sure you are happy with your purchase
After looking at several places, we put an offer on one and Mark was very hands-on, with suggesting good mortgage brokers, inspectors etc., Once again no pressure to use any of his people; just suggestions.
Long story, short… We ended up using his inspector and he was great. Maybe too good. He found multiple flaws in our potential property and at the last minute I decided not to buy it. Mark was understanding and I truly believe he would much rather have you be completely happy with your purchase than to just ‘make a sale’.
With everything coming so close to my existing move-out date, I have decided to rent for another year… But when I go to make a purchase I will most certainly be working with Mark!”
“Buying a house is kinda a big deal. Buying your first house in a new city is a really big deal.
From the start, Mark was helpful, informative and relaxed even switching from showing us houses to driving us to different apartments to find our temporary landing spot in Austin on our first meeting with him. From then on, we decided to stick with Mark throughout the process of finding our first home together. Throughout, Mark was patient and observant helping us hone in on our ideal location and eventual home. After we pulled the trigger he has continued to be helpful in recommending contractors for remodeling projects, advising us when we considering renting and just overall continuing to happily provide assistance long after we purchased the home.
Mark truly understands how important building and maintaining relationship are to running a successful business. Because of this he helps take some of the stress out of buying and even owning a home.”
“We moved to the Austin area from out of state, and Mark was very professional and knowledgeable of the area and found us the perfect house. I would use his services again and recommend him highly.”
“Mark was the realtor who helped me purchase my home. There are few things more daunting than taking on a new and challenging job, moving to a new city and buying your first house. Now try doing all that within about three months. The new job is to be dealt with by oneself, there are moving services for moving, and, thankfully, for buying the house, I had Mark. I will be forever grateful for his assistance with navigating the quiet neighborhoods around Central Austin in the quest for the perfect place. Once said place was found, Mark made it a breeze to cut through the legal and bureaucratic jungle required to take ownership of it.
Hyperbola aside, Mark was punctual, a great communicator, had fantastic attention to detail, old-world manners and possessed a near-encyclopedic knowledge of the city. Our dialogue was open from the start and I quickly arrived to rely on and trust his judgement. These are, of course, all the traits that one would look for in an excellent real-estate business partner. However, there were a few things that, in my mind, truly set Mark apart from other (admittedly few) real estate professionals that I have worked with in the past:
1) An uncanny ability to LISTEN (versus TALK): he has helped me articulate my preferences and my needs, and was quickly able channel our efforts from what initially seemed like a wild goose chase to a focused and meaningful search. He did this in very few iterations with minimal waste of time.
2) Balance: he has always pointed out both the advantages and the flaws of all the properties we have seen, without ever trying to conceal the bad or overemphasize the good. In this sense, he has been, as pointed out above, a trusted business partner rather than a sales agent.
3) Patience: one of my favorite Mark quotes is “don’t worry, we will find it.”
4) Finally -and most importantly – vision and perspective: Mark has been in this business for a long time. Long enough to observe, absorb and understand trends, rather than try to glean them (or pretend to do so) from sales data. He has a deep understanding of the evolution of the city’s neighborhoods and of their future prospects (whether bright or less so), which means that the perspective that he provides will help you make a good home investment rather than a simple home purchase.
In summary, Mark has elevated the notion of service to an almost telepathic connection with the customer. I am glad I did business with him, I am glad to refer to him my friends and professional acquaintances who are considering a home purchase, and will gladly ask for his help in the future. He receives my highest possible recommendation.”
“A couple of months prior to a trip to Austin to show my wife the city and potentially look at houses for relocating from Nevada, I had my wife research realtors in the area. She found Strub Residential and told me they had really strong ratings and reviews. I told her to make contact with them and see what they could do for our visit. She communicated with Mark Strub who seemed very willing to assist and set us up with an automated MLS feed for houses that met our criteria. A few weeks leading up to our trip, Mark would periodically check-in to ensure the feed was meeting our needs. Once we had our trip on the calendar we reached back out to Mark and confirmed the weekend we’d be in town, and setup a date to meet at his office. Prior to arriving, Mark informed us that he was going to sync us up with Pat Scott as Pat lives in and knows the area of our search Cedar Park/Round Rock. We then proceeded to map out a route and go see 6 houses from our list that Friday afternoon. Pat was extremely thorough in his route planning, and incredibly helpful in pointing out things during our visits to homes. That night and next morning Pat took it upon himself to pull some more homes based on criteria he observed that we liked or did not like in our visits the day before. We reviewed a new list and hit the round again Saturday to pound the pavement. After seeing a number of houses, Pat asked if we would be ok exploring another area that was just a bit further up the road, and actually where he lives now. We said we’d be glad to, and we are thankful we did. After looking at the neighborhood, we decided to hop in the same car and simply see if anything had popped up for sale. We quickly found a house that had just hit the market. Upon walkthrough it was a home we were very interested. Pat had us review the whole neighborhood and models for comparison purposes, and then we returned back to the house.
After traveling home to Nevada, we decided to put in an offer on the house. The negotiation process was efficient and effective. Pat navigated our every desire, and provided great communicative ability to ensure we got the deal we needed. Upon signing the contract, Pat was instrumental in assisting and being there during the inspection process as we were 1200+ miles away and helping coordinate and communicate every aspect of the inspection and resulting negotiation.
Once the process was complete, Pat was there for us at closing and beyond. We were thrilled to have received a generous Lowe’s gift card from Pat and a wonderful bottle of Champagne from Mark as thank-you’s.
Based on past experiences, I used to joke that I’d rather hang out in a room full of lawyers all day than have to work with a Realtor. After this experience, we are proud and honored to call Strub Residential (Pat and Mark) not only our Realtor, but our friends. They are the utmost professional at what they do, and they define going the extra mile for their customers!”
“If you are moving to Austin from out of state, Strub Residential is the real estate firm to use! I had called 5 other agents and non of them were able to assist us in this stressful time of our lives. Having to relocate across country because of a job transfer is bad enough, but not having a place confirmed to live in is even worse. So, I called Mark and he had a great property, in a great location, at a great price ready in less than a week. In addition, the electronic application process saved our lives; we didn’t have to run all over town to fax, scan, or print. I would highly recommend Strub Residential, they listen to your requests, they are professional, knowledgable, competent, and they get the job done.”
“My husband and I are brand new to Austin (just moved here two months ago from San Francisco), so we relied on Mark extensively to figure out which neighborhood would work for us. We arrived in town on a Saturday, and Sunday morning we were meeting with Mark – he was our first introduction to Austin and it was a great one. Mark is prompt, responsive, organized and generally just a very warm and easygoing person. This was our first home and he made the whole process a breeze. The one day he wasn’t available for us, he sent one of his associates to show us around and his associate was great, courteous and very knowledgeable, so you can rest assured that his whole team will be just as responsive in the rare chance Mark is not available. We are so happy with our new home. We hope we will be in this home for years to come, but if we ever have real estate needs again, Mark is our guy for the long run.”
“Mark Strüb is truly an über-real estate agent! Our Austin home search began from our apartment in Brooklyn. Mark and my husband were in contact for a couple months before our move, narrowing down the search based on budget and various parameters we laid out to him like size, location, and amenities. We were sent an automatically updating list of homes almost on a daily basis for us to daydream about.
When we had made the transition to an apartment in Austin, we met with Mark so he could feel out our personalities and get a better sense of what neighborhood would be right for us. At that point, we were unsure whether to buy within the city limits or go further out to the suburbs.
Mark was always available at times convenient for us to show us homes that caught our eye. Not only did he provide valuable information about what to look for in the home itself, he also acted as an ambassador to the city, pointing out good restaurants, notable neighborhoods, info about schools, and other tidbits along the way. He made recommendations for mortgage brokers and insurance companies and was basically a patient, guiding hand throughout the process.
We ended up closing on a wonderful home that met pretty much all our desires within only a couple of months! We could not be more satisfied with the comprehensive service and professionalism of Mark and his team!”
“These folks at Strüb Residential- man are they rockstars! I decided to move with my daughter from Wyoming to Austin to be closer to family and for a change of pace. My sister already lived in Austin and let me know she would help. We got hooked up with Strüb Residential and the rest is history!
Mark helped me on the back end, and Christy on the front. Christy took my sister out for an entire day so she could view properties on my behalf, and we found a great one in NW Austin. They did a wonderful job facilitating everything on my behalf since I was having to do this all remotely.
The Strübs listened to all of my wants and needs. I wasn’t here to gauge the school districts, commutes to everyday needs, and even a good “fit” for my daughter and I. I entrusted them to not only find us a place to live… But a HOME! They did an amazing job at not only fulfilling all of my expectations but going beyond that! They put themselves in my shoes and I couldn’t be more grateful!
I’ve since relocated here, got my daughter enrolled in school and have been enjoying all that Austin has to offer. I can’t thank the folks at Strüb Residential enough for helping to make the relocation as easy as possible so I could focus on everything else. I recommend them to anyone I know moving to Austin, as well as people here just wanting a new home. Strüb Residential takes the reins when it comes to finding a home. What else can I say- these guys are the bees knees.”
“In the Spring, we learned that our family of 4 would be moving to Austin from the San Francisco Bay Area with my husband’s company. We interviewed a few realtors in the area, and “clicked” the most with Mark Strub. He’s very well versed in all areas of Austin and genuinely seemed interested in learning about us to know more about what neighborhoods would be a good fit for our family. We had one long weekend to explore homes (Memorial Day weekend) and with just 3 weeks notice, Mark cleared his schedule on that holiday weekend to spend the bulk of it with us. He made sure we got a chance see all of the areas of Austin we were interested in and all of the homes we liked online – and we had a great time with him as well! After our visit, an unforeseen change in plans occurred when one of our kids finally got a spot in our favorite school and we had to do a 180 with our home search. Mark never got frustrated and just rolled with it, setting up more homes to show us in the new area close to the school (even on facetime!) and spending more time with my husband to see homes when he flew down for just a day.
At the end of the day, we ended up putting an offer on a home that I had never seen in person (my husband had) but I trusted both of them immensely, including Mark, as by then he knew us and our style and needs quite well (now that is saying a LOT!) He helped us put in a competitive offer and land our dream home. Even when closing got dicey due to some inspections that weren’t being completed in a timely manner from the seller’s side, he was on top of it, making the right calls and getting the right people aware of what was needed to close on time. He was always responsive via phone/email/text to any questions we had along the way and was just all around great to work with. He specializes in relocations and was able to work along side our relocation company (which requires a whole other set of paperwork and nuances) without any issues. We are so thankful to have worked with him and would recommend him and his team! When I walked through the house for the first time (after closing), I just kept thinking “they nailed it”. Well done, Strub Residential. We are so thankful for you!”

“I reached out to Strüb Residential partly on the strength of the super positive review on Yelp. We are buying sight-unseen from Colorado Springs. Man o man are they good!! Mark put me on to Alex Tapp, one of his up-and-comers. Alex did a fantastic job finding us a condo in Austin. He was incredibly responsive, on top of every opportunity, and kept me and other agents informed. He did a masterful job working a thorny negotiation. It all came out in our favor. Cannot say enough good. Be careful of the giant firms that may not have the time to treat you right. These guys will.”
