“I recently decided to move to Austin to attend graduate school. The problem was that I lived 500 miles away. I did a quick google search and found Strub Residential and I picked them because they were the highest rated realtors I could find in Austin. I called and Mark answered the phone. He was very kind and professional and passed me off to a guy on his team named Alex who covers the South Austin area. I wasn’t sure if that was a good thing at first as I hadn’t researched Alex, but Alex did an amazing job. We dealt with unprofessional realtors, private sellers, a loan officer who quit her job in the process of writing my loan and we had to start over, and houses that were selling in less than a day (spring of 2015 was a crazy market). Alex stuck with me through all of it and we found a little place that was exactly what I needed.
I am very involved in the house buying process and have in previous purchases felt that the realtor’s fee’s were too high for essentially just filling out the paperwork for me for a house I had found without their assistance. That wasn’t the case here at all. I couldn’t have possibly gotten this done without Alex. He protected me from a lot of things I didn’t know were problems and I felt very confident that he was managing the sale. I usually worry about things, but I left it all in his hands, and I think we had a little bit of fun too.
So thanks Alex. I would recommend Strub Real Estate highly and Alex specifically. If you are worried about the right team to call, you don’t have to look any further. I really couldn’t imagine getting anything less than stellar service.”

“Mark is THE MAN.
While living in Orange County CA we had a bad experience with our first realtor who had us put in an offer on a house for $15k more than what it was appraised for and still couldn’t make the deal happen. Mark got us the same house for us UNDER appraised value even with another offer on the table. He worked days, nights and weekends ensuring we were kept in the loop while being so far away.
Our first day in Austin was the day we signed for the house. Mark went that morning to check the house and ensure it was in good shape after the previous owners had moved out. Then at signing, he found a mistake in the loan documents and saved us an extra $1k!
If it wasn’t for Mark, I honestly don’t know where we would be. Thank you Mark for your honestly and dedication to looking out for our best interest.”

“Mark and I have known each other from some former lives when we both lived in the Phx area in the 90’s. We lost touch after leaving where we both worked and I had no idea he was living in Austin when I moved my family in 2010. I didn’t attempt buying a house when I first moved here because I just didn’t feel established enough.
Come forward to 2014, I discover Mark has been living and working in the Austin area for over 10 years as a realtor. Talk about a pleasant surprise! Knowing someone in the business, someone you can trust, is so critical to buying a house in a market you’re unfamiliar with. Mark and his staff met all of our needs quickly and gave great insight and advice in all areas. They were willing to take us to see each and every home we had an interest in and they even made sure we didn’t move forward on a house that didn’t make sense. Strub Residential has great connections with mortgage brokers who can meet every need. Mortgage people who aren’t just selling you on something you don’t need. Straight to the point with no fluff and no confusion. That’s huge! When we found our house, Mark was very aggressive in negotiations and I felt we ended on top with the right house at the right time.
We’ve been in our house now for nearly a year and I will go through the same process again with Mark when the time is right. Thanks Mark!”

“Mark and Alex are consummate professionals who you should hire and trust with your Real Estate needs!
Alex was always ready to show me new places that he thought would fit my new home criteria. I’m an incredibly detailed oriented person who wanted a very specific type of place and finding a place that was the right fit for me and my budget was no small task! Alex took it all in stride and helped guide me the entire way.
It took 6 months for me to find the right place and Alex was very patient and understanding throughout the process. Alex never pressured me into any sales, showed me safe and new areas I should be looking as well as areas I should avoid based on my needs. Each time we saw a place I took notes on what worked and what didn’t work and Alex was very accommodating to my future home desires!
Alex was very timely in responding as properties came on the market because he knows how fast good properties get purchased! Thankfully, when the right one came along, and I knew exactly what worked for me, he helped me figure out the right offer and I ended up getting a wonderful place. He even helped me with finding other reliable contacts for along the way.
I ended up in the PERFECT property and am one extremely happy customer.
Stop browsing Yelp and call these guys!! I’d bet you will be just as satisfied as I am 🙂
Before trying Mark and Alex I tried a different broker who was unresponsive to my needs and emails. Don’t waste your time with other brokers! Just call Mark and choose the right team from the start!”

“If there was a way to give 6 stars out of five, the extra star would go to Pat Scott at Strub Residential. After a great deal of discussion, my wife and I determined that Austin Texas versus the San Francisco Bay area was the place we wanted to be for our “later years”. In that we were looking to rent before buying in Austin, we scoured the web for a broker or agent in Texas to aid our search. Reviews here on Yelp and elsewhere led us to contacting Mark at Strub Residential. Mark put us in touch with a fantastic colleague of his Pat Scott. Pat thoughtfully put together a brief containing no less than 20 properties to consider and then set about making appointments on our behalf to look into 8 in person over a two week period. Once we settled on a property to lease, Pat worked with us to review the leasing paperwork and terms then went out of his way to revisit the home we selected to measure the opening for our appliances.
With his knowledge of the area, traffic patterns, shopping amenities and such it is needless to say that with people like Pat associated with Strub Residential, they will be first on the list to represent us in our home purchases in the next couple of years.”

“I happened to find Strub Residential through advertising on a sign near our neighborhood. My sister and her husband were going to move to Austin from Florida and were looking for a home to rent. Since I live in Austin they asked me to contact a realtor to help them find the perfect home. Strub put me in touch with Patrick who was so helpful! He responded quickly and within days we were looking at potential homes. He was very willing to meet with us around our schedule and was very knowlegable about what was happening in the market. He realized that timing was key in finding them the right home. He was always very prompt in communicating with me and setting up appointments to see properties. I would highly recommend Patrick and will most definitely work with him for any future real estate needs.”

“Would you rather be represented by a demigod of domiciles, maestro of markets, and all around good guy or mere mortals?
Do you actually want to buy or sell a house or do you prefer the miasma of existential crises that will invariably descend upon you and your loved ones when one of the most monumental transactions in your life is invariably bungled by a neophyte?
Perhaps you’re a masochist and prefer the latter in these scenarios, I’m not here to judge you for your life choices, that is what Facebook is for.
But I think you’re different. You’re 2% smarter than the average bear and 3% faster than a peregrine falcon. You drink win-juice and excrete excellence through every pore in your body.
And if this is you, friend, you’re search is over.
Now go get yourself a present and give yourself a pat on the back for your success. You’ve done great work.”

“My husband and I embarked upon what we thought would be a difficult endeavor: buying a home in Austin whilst living in China. Having never lived and hardly even visited Austin, we knew virtually nothing about the city and knew absolutely no one. Utilizing our digital resources, we narrowed our realtor search and sent Mark Strüb an email. He responded quickly, was enthusiastic about helping us and was wiling to meet our unusual and very limited window of time to visit. We had 2 days to see and learn as much as possible, and if we found a place that interested us, we would put in an offer. We would not have the opportunity to return to Austin for several months.
Before getting started, Mark took the time to get to know us and what we are about so that he could match our limited time with what would most likely would be a good match for us. This was the most critical phase of our time with Mark as it informed every move and interaction we experienced between our first meeting, all the way through home ownership.
We looked at a wide variety and number of homes but it was the education that we needed. With each place we immediately felt comfortable talking very openly about what we liked and didn’t, which allowed Mark to tailor the rest of our time quickly, pivoting when needed. Within two days, we settled on a home. We spent over a year in other cities with other realtors and never came remotely close to a purchase. With Mark, we felt like every moment of our time was well spent either in education or decision making that led us to the moment of deciding to buy.
Strüb Residential used technology every step of the way, which allowed us to purchase our home 15 hours in advance of Austin and half a world away. We were never concerned about security or timeliness as Mark and his entire team were on top of all details associated with purchasing. Everyone he has recommend from loans to post-purchase services has been lovely to work with. After researching for potentially better-for-us vendors, we have yet to go with anyone other than who he recommended.
Overall, not only do we highly recommend Mark and his team, we are excited to buy again! His knowledge of Austin, attention to details that matter and clear love for what he does is exactly what we were looking for in a realtor. We are thrilled with our new place, are really looking forward to living in Austin and to our next purchase with Mark and the team at Strüb!”
– Syd S.
“I do not write many Yelp reviews but I feel like Mark truly deserves one. Moving to Austin from Chicago was a very nerve wrecking experience and we were very fortunate that we found Mark online (via Yelp). From the very first contact with him we came away impressed with how quick he would respond and he showed that he actually cared about his clients. Alex and Mark made themselves completely available to us during the very limited time we had to look at homes. We learned more from them during that small window of time than we did during the many months we researched online!
Mark has a vast amount of experience with the Austin real estate market and he was able to help guide us with our very unique home requirements. We found our Austin dream home thanks to Mark and can easily say we would use him again for any real estate needs. Mark and his team deserves the highest recommendation from our family.
Thank you again Mark!”

“Mark was a joy to work with. Our list of criteria for a home purchase was quite extensive. Mark was incredibly patient throughout the entire process, listening to our needs and helping us explore alternatives to meet our interests. In the end, he helped us find the perfect house in a fantastic location, all at a price below market value! We will definitely be using Mark for any future real estate transactions.”
“Mark helped me buy my second house. Not only did he bust his buns to find me a house, but he picked me up from work and drove me around to check houses out. The situation with my house was a bit different because the sellers were living out of the country and the time difference made things a bit difficult, but Mark stayed on it and I got the house. He really listened and was able to find me the perfect house. It was only the second house he showed me and it needed some work, but we all knew from the moment we walked in that it was the one. He was also able to set me up with a great lender, and had many references for me to start my remodel. We closed fast considering the situation with the sellers not being in the country and he sat with me at closing and made sure nothing was over looked. My experience was so great that I would never use anyone else, and have since recommended many other people.
Mark has also gone out of his way to help me out with a rental property that went bad due to really lousy tenants. Which I am happy to say am about to be out from under in a matter of days. Yeah Mark!”
“Mark made the possibility of purchasing a house a reality. I am an out-of-state real estate investor and had many concerns about the whole process. Mark went way beyond my expectations with his duties to make sure I was well informed and confident about my purchase. He was able to fill in many times when I was not able to be present. If it wasn’t for his assistance and knowledge, I would not have felt comfortable enough to invest out of state. As an investor in real estate I am interested in finding the perfect location in the perfect market. Austin, TX was on my list, but that was the extent of my knowledge. Mark knew the layout of the area and which neighborhood was due for the best appreciation. This is knowledge that comes from experience and research. His advice has been a big success.”
“I had buying a house on my mind for 2 years. I got a REALTOR and started driving around looking at places within my budget. Unfortunately, I thought all I could afford was a condominium or something for no more than $[X]. I could tell that my REALTOR was disinterested in me because I didn’t have the big bucks to spend on a place and that’s when I found Mark Strub. I heard of him from a friend who had recently purchased a home and who were also on a budget as well.
I called Mark and up and he treated me with the respect I deserved. He asked me what I wanted, not what I thought I could get, but what I wanted. I told him I dreamed of owning a home, so I could have my own yard, and my daughter her own room. I told him I didn’t want to live north and I didn’t want to live too far south. He started looking immediately and in no time emailed several different options. In the mean time, I had taken a drive around Austin and came across a house for sale in a sweet little community. I called Mark right away and asked him to find out the cost. He came back with $[X]. Because of my past experience with REALTORS, I sighed and thought I could never afford that. He said let’s go take a look at it, just for kicks, so we did. The house had everything I was looking for and Mark crunched some numbers for me, even though that isn’t a part of his job. After talking the seller down and Mark helping me find good financing, I bought the house!
I am so glad I ditched the other REALTOR and went with Mark. I love my new house and even my neighbors.
I feel very fortunate to have found Mark.
Thank you, Mark”
“I really enjoyed working with Mark. Not only was he responsive but he was also very knowledgeable. He uses all the tools available to him and is willing to share them with his clients. We set up a weekly schedule for looking at homes and I received automated emails when changes occurred in the area where we bought. We were very pleased with all the referrals he offered us as well as all his advice. For example, he was a great resource for our mortgage broker. We purchased a home that was actually never listed on the FOR SALE lists because it was a rental. Mark followed up with the seller’s REALTOR and negotiated a great price for us. We were very pleased with everything all around.”
“We love Mark and had the best experience with him. We originally purchased a house with him as our agent in 2006 and then this July (2008) decided to sell. We contacted him and he came over that week to discuss the house and pricing.
We were shocked and excited to hear him suggest that we list it for $35K MORE than we thought we could get. He was willing to listen to our concerns and worked with us as a partner through the staging process all the way through negotiations and closing. We sold our house in 34 days! The best part of it though is that we sold it for more than we expected AND in a really short time because it was priced correctly in the market and because we listened to Mark who really knows the central Austin market.
If you’re looking for someone who will give you honest feedback on your house and is enjoyable to work with, Mark would be a great fit!”
“When we looked into Austin real-estate, we had very specific needs — but limited exposure to all the intricacies of Austin neighborhoods. We live in Houston but wanted to establish a weekend home in the capital city. Mark and his team had the exact information we needed – and were able to quickly understand our goals and give us the insight we needed.
Mark quickly became a partner in our search – with keen intuition as to what worked for our lifestyle and what we should exclude. He never wasted our time (or his). His insight is unique; his style is personal. He is a pro – in every sense of the word – and his candor in working with us made all the difference.”
“Strüb brings to the table what no other Realtor I have ever come into contact with does: a truly client centric focus. His team’s dedication and ability to help me find a home I love, while guiding me in making a smart investment choice are uncanny.
I am an all out, get things done type of guy; so when I decided I wanted to buy a home, I already had the location, price and what I needed to be happy lined up. However Mark still helped me take a step back and really define my goals and hopes in a way that not only truly suited me better, but made the process so much easier. I never anticipated landing in my dream neighborhood (Crestview), however with some coaching I am proud to say I am getting all that I had on my wish list plus 200 sq/ft and charm I can’t imagine finding in another home.
Back to being an “all out type of guy” from the date I contacted Mark about purchasing a home to the date I closed my option period was less than a month. Mark handled my ADD, rapid fire, barely intelligible requests, thoughts, and ideas like a true seasoned pro. He somehow managed to navigate through the noise I was emitting and led me to my house.
Upon securing the house the interaction did not stop. In my experience it is pretty customary to get the standard follow-up, closing walkthrough, Christmas cards and other feel good marketing touches (though I must admit, Mark’s business cards are some of the coolest I have ever seen). With Mark and his team the closing is merely the halfway point. My home was previously a rental which left a lot of room for growth, and investment opportunities as well as the chance to make it my own. Mark once again saved me from myself by leading me towards the correct decisions. If I had been left to my own devices I would be over invested and broke in an unfinished home. However he continues to coach me on smart investments not only in terms of equity growth but more importantly on quality of life improvements.
I cannot say enough good things about Strüb. I never fathomed a business transaction could lead to such a strong bond and trust in another individual in a matter of three weeks. For any real estate need, I pity the fool who doesn’t start with the Strüb team.”
“Mark helped my wife and I look at a multitude of houses. We were looking for something near to downtown. He helped us narrow down what and where we were looking and showed us a lot of very interesting and unexpected options. Mark has close ties with several good lenders and titles companies providing options and finding you the best option for your needs.”
“As first-time home buyers, we were very careful in selecting our real estate agent. Mark was referred to us by a colleague. Once we met him, he made an excellent case to hire him, and we did. Great decision! We knew exactly what we wanted in the house. Once we found a house that matched 85% of our requirements, Mark worked really hard to get us that house. Throughout the entire process, Mark made sure that our interests are protected first and foremost: if we were to walked away from the deal, Mark gave us his full support.
There were many hurdles and big decisions to make in short time regarding this specific house purchase: structural weakness, the work that needed to be done before closing, and foremost arrogant and uncooperative seller’s camp. Our family liked the house (and still does) a lot, Mark fully supported our decision, and took the challenge in stride. He focused on hammering a great deal for us, and making the best out of impossible situation.
Almost, two years later, I can confirm that this house purchase worked out really great for our family. We plan to use his agency in the future, if the need arises. Thanks Mark!”
“Attentive and Thorough. I was very pleased and completely impressed with Mark’s knowledge of the current housing market and the greater Austin area. He listened to my needs and was very thorough with the properties he brought to my attention. It was a long process and he never gave up the search. Always responsive to my phone calls and inquiries, meeting any day of the week, he gave me the feeling my search would be successful.
Mark did an awesome job for us. We had limited time to find a home in Austin and Mark went above and beyond to find us exactly what we were looking for. In less than a week he showed us many homes throughout Austin and honed in quickly on the areas and homes that we really liked. He spent time after hours (and before hours) to accommodate our limited timeline. We have now lived in our home for a year and couldn’t be happier with it. Mark approached our search with professionalism, a ton of knowledge of the city and with impressive efficiency. After our purchase Mark has been a great resource for any questions we have had and has done a great job following up with us to be sure we are happy with our new home. Also, Mark has been very helpful in helping us locate possible investment opportunities in the form of rental properties. Our experience with Mark was fantastic and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell homes or properties in Austin.”
“I have been buying and selling homes for over 40 years- some to live in and some as investments. Mark is the first REALTOR in all those years with the combination of experience, integrity and, most important, intuition to understand my needs. He has the ability to sort through available properties or clients as to not waste time on mismatched and fruitless offers. Mark has been my REALTOR for years. In those years he has assisted me with sales and purchases of our family home and investment property. He is, bar none, the BEST. Forever Grateful.”
“I worked with Mark for four months back in 2005 searching for my first investment property. I was pretty picky. He never pressured me to buy something that wouldn’t be profitable. We sold it this past summer. Mark priced it just right and gave me excellent advice on what to fix up, and what not to, before listing it. Mark’s knowledge of real estate, and especially the Austin market, make both buying and selling the house painless. I plan to use Mark’s services in future real estate deals.”
“Mark helped my husband and I buy our first home. We were nervous and unsure, especially since we had a baby on the way. Mark’s ability to listen and acknowledge the features that were important to us eased our fears. He found the things we wanted in our new home and gave us options to make our decision easier. I would recommend Mark to anyone who wants someone real, intelligent & genuine to navigate them to their future.”
“Mark has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty to make my home purchase possible. My situation was an especially difficult one; with a less competent REALTOR, I couldn’t have done it. Mark made it happen within my budget, on schedule, and with style.
As a foreigner unfamiliar with local neighbourhoods, and with little credit history, many REALTORS would have told me that buying a home during my first year in Austin was impossible, but not Mark. He was up for the challenge, and succeeded with flying colours. Mark has always been quick to respond to even the most unorthodox of questions, and cheerful in the face of my thirst for knowledge about the process of buying a home, financing my purchase, different neighbourhoods, house construction, and anything else that came to mind. Whenever I called to check on progress, he was already on to the next issue.
He is especially attuned to the needs of young home-buyers, such as budget and location specifications. He also uses technology very effectively to keep the lines of communication open. Mark is truly concerned with providing a quality real estate experience. He followed through with me even beyond closing to make sure that I was fully satisfied. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Mark to my closest friends, and to any home buyer or seller who enjoys working with competent, intelligent people. I look forward to working with him again when it comes time to sell my home.
“The perception I had of a Real Estate agent was that of a very pushing individual more interested in speeding up a sale than in assessing and fulfilling the real needs of the customer. Additionally, since I was coming from out of state the distance added more of that risk factor to my buying experience. From the first minute I spoke with Mark over the phone, he immediately got my interest due to his obvious knowledge and ample experience of both the current trends and the future of Austin market. His approach is very relaxed, yet his recommendations are clear, concise and very professional. After carefully assessing my needs, he put together a comprehensive list of properties that matched my budget, size and expected location. He even drove me to several properties I was interested on until we got exactly what we expected. My buying experience could not have been more rewarding and after a couple of searching weeks we are in the right track to ownership thanks to a real professional as Mark Strub. And as for my perception, at least for now it has dissipated thanks to a real Real Estate Agent.”
“I would like to state that Mark Strub has been the BEST REALTOR that we have ever encountered. Mark has been patient with our search process. It took us several years of being very picky to choose the exact house of our dreams. Mark always provided exactly what we were looking for and provided his expertise when needed. When we took interest in homes he would go above and beyond and research the area and what other houses were selling for. Mark provided the professionalism and relational approach that we needed. I would and have recommended Mark to anyone that is looking for a realtor. Mark also helped us sell our home. It was one of the most stressful events of my life and he was always confident and reassuring. Mark was able to tell us what we needed to do to in order to prepare our home for being on the market. As a result our house was sold at the HIGHEST value that a home ever sold for in our neighborhood. Mark was great at assessing what to price at and also provided all the pros and cons with each offer that was made. We could not have done this without his valuable skills!”
“So glad we found Mark. This is not the first home I’ve bought, by a long shot, as I am over 50, and have worked with realtors at home in Arizona in the past, several times, with both good and bad experiences. We were looking for a small home for my daughter as she is attending graduate school at UT. I looked at many internet sites for an Austin realtor, made phone calls, and sent email. Mark was immediately responsive and was very knowledgeable about the Austin market, understanding exactly what we wanted, which was convenience to the university, safety, value, convenience to shopping and services, and an ability for the property to appreciate in value. He sent us frequent updates by email of available properties, and responded immediately to questions about neighborhoods and property values. We visited Austin for a long weekend, saw many properties, most of which would have worked for us, and left Austin having put in an offer, with some second and third choices. We ended up with our first choice home, in which my daughter is now happily living. Mark was a very responsive realtor, answering inquiries immediately and adapting himself to our changing perceptions of what we wanted in Austin, a city we had never even visited. He assisted us in every aspect of the purchase of this home, from initial familiarization with the city of Austin and the market, to the search for a specific home, to the actual negotiations and closing (with very difficult, elderly, out of country sellers), to locating workmen for remodeling, and information on where best to purchase furnishings and Austin services. His high energy, considerate, and intelligent approach made this experience uniformly positive. He is definitely one of the best realtors I have encountered.”
“I put in calls to several realtors when I began looking for property. Mark was the first to call back and had a website up for me with properties that met my criteria before anyone else even called back. He was on top of every question during the search and was very helpful in keeping the negotiations on an even keel after I found what I wanted. I will always give his name and the highest recommendation to anyone who is wanting to buy or sell property.”
“Mark and I met on the Internet while I was surfing for investment property to remodel. Over the past two years we have worked together to sell and purchase two houses. Throughout the long arduous process to decide whether to remodel or to sell a home that I had owned for over 10 years, Mark was continually helpful and above all patient. He provided me with extensive information so that I could make an educated decision. He was positive minded and always up-beat. He listened to what I was trying to accomplish and guided me down the road towards a profitable decision. Once the decision was made to either purchase or sell the home, he was efficient and thorough with completing the financial process. I would recommend Mark Strub to anyone, especially my mom.”
“Mark helped my wife and I purchase a home during the 2008 downturn. He is an expert in the role and we trusted him completely to help us close the deal – from search through closing. I highly recommend Mark!”
“Mark exhibits all of the positive attributes that were listed. I picked great results, expert and high integrity because I feel like these best describe the reasons why were so pleased to be able to find our home with Mark and then to sell it for a great profit two years later. He was not only patient during our search process but supportive during our renovations — offering contractors names and advice.
When we decided to sell our home, I asked him what he thought our list price might be. Without pulling comps or doing research, which he clarified up front, he gave us a conservative but reasonable estimate to consider. When we finally met officially and listed it a few months later, we were able to list and sell the home for above that price and our house had a “fatal flaw”. He was there for us every step of the way — from staging to what we should cosmetically do before we left.
Not only is Mark a consummate professional but also a really great person – personable, kind and very organized. I recommend him to all my Austin friends!”
“If you have had the pleasure of working with Mark, then you won’t need any details to back up the fact that he is amazing to partner with. Mark took a calculated, but cool approach to helping my wife acquire our first home together. There were tons of factors at play and he helped us navigate the great abyss with ease and confidence. The support doesn’t stop at the closing table either, he left us with materials custom made for us and our purchase that I have referenced many times. I now turn to Mark for any and all real estate questions. For me, there is no better approach to dealing with the market here in Austin.”
“When faced with relocating to Austin, good friends suggested we work with Mark Strub. I called Mark on a rainy day in February and immediately felt a connection with him. While I rambled on about where I thought we wanted to live, Mark was great about listening between the lines and grasping the lifestyle my husband and I were looking for. Having lived here while I was getting my masters, I had a limited knowledge of the real estate available, and was crushed to learn of the prices in the neighborhoods I knew about. Mark took the lead and showed us a few properties in Great Hills and we instantly felt a connection to the area, and especially to the home we purchased.
Real estate is about so much more than buying or selling a property. It also takes the expertise of a real estate agent who is willing to take the time to get to know the client, and understand their lifestyle and dreams. I highly recommend Mark Strub and will definitely use him in the future.”
“Mark helped me decide on the area to look for, the possible home candidates and what were my main criteria to look in a new home. While going through a family crisis, he took time out and continued being the professional he is. Mark uses the latest technologies to assist his clients in both home searches and in the actual bidding process. I would likely do business again with him in the future, if I had to sell my home.”
– Nick Z.M.
“Mark did a great job for us. He worked with us while we searched in several different neighborhood to find the perfect home.”
“Mark Strüb is the best of the best. I’ve used him to sell a house, buy a house, rent a house, and research the market – and in every single situation he has provided me with excellent service and insightful advice
He’s the kind of realtor who can excel no matter what the market is like, because he’s: 1. Brilliant and creative 2. Extremely personable and friendly 3. Unbelievably hard-working.
I’ve recommended Mark to everyone I know, and once they start working with him, I inevitably get a message saying, “Where did you find this guy? He’s amazing!” etc. Every. Time.”
“If you are looking for a real estate agent in Austin, TX, Mark is the best! Not only does he work hard but he has a gift for knowing how to find the perfect home for his clients. I was also impressed with Mark’s local charity work and his commitment to improving the quality of life in the Austin community.”
“My wife and I hired Mark to assist us in purchasing our first home. After looking for several weeks we found a foreclosure that we loved in the Bouldin Creek area. There was over 20 bids on the house but with Mark’s expertise and suggestions we were the winning bid!
After months of lender issues and bank issues due to the foreclosure we finally closed on the house. Through it all Mark stuck by our side and was always positive and reassuring even when we wanted to give up. He went above and beyond what a normal Realtor does in a transaction and was continually calling the bank and lenders and doing everything in his power to ensure we closed.
If you are looking for a professional and knowledgeable Realtor Mark Strub is it!”
“Mark is extremely knowledgeable and always professional. We moved out of Central Austin and hired Mark to help us sell our home and purchase a home in another area of Austin. Although he is an expert in Central Austin, he is open to researching all surrounding areas. We felt confident Mark provided us with the information we needed to make an educated decision for our family. Great guy and great results!”
“I’ve worked with many realtors and often felt who’s interest is this person after? Not so with Mark. I always felt like he was willing to give us the time we needed to make the right decision and though I am sure we tested his patience, it NEVER showed. He always found time for us. Even after we bought our house, we still feel we can call with related questions and we hope to see him out on the town.”
“I really enjoyed working with Mark– This is not my first time buying a home and this is not my first Realtor experience; Mark was GREAT.
I am new to Austin, so at first he took me around the ‘areas’ just to get a feel for what I would like… He doesn’t provide any ‘used-car salesman’ pressure, he truly listens to what you like and I was also impressed that he suggested properties that were lower in price than the ones I had suggested to him– He isn’t looking to make the biggest commission, but more so, to make sure you are happy with your purchase
After looking at several places, we put an offer on one and Mark was very hands-on, with suggesting good mortgage brokers, inspectors etc., Once again no pressure to use any of his people; just suggestions.
Long story, short… We ended up using his inspector and he was great. Maybe too good. He found multiple flaws in our potential property and at the last minute I decided not to buy it. Mark was understanding and I truly believe he would much rather have you be completely happy with your purchase than to just ‘make a sale’.
With everything coming so close to my existing move-out date, I have decided to rent for another year… But when I go to make a purchase I will most certainly be working with Mark!”
“Buying a house is kinda a big deal. Buying your first house in a new city is a really big deal.
From the start, Mark was helpful, informative and relaxed even switching from showing us houses to driving us to different apartments to find our temporary landing spot in Austin on our first meeting with him. From then on, we decided to stick with Mark throughout the process of finding our first home together. Throughout, Mark was patient and observant helping us hone in on our ideal location and eventual home. After we pulled the trigger he has continued to be helpful in recommending contractors for remodeling projects, advising us when we considering renting and just overall continuing to happily provide assistance long after we purchased the home.
Mark truly understands how important building and maintaining relationship are to running a successful business. Because of this he helps take some of the stress out of buying and even owning a home.”
“We moved to the Austin area from out of state, and Mark was very professional and knowledgeable of the area and found us the perfect house. I would use his services again and recommend him highly.”
“Mark represented a buyer when I sold my house FSBO. He was competent, fair, respectful, and did a great job for his client. He stood out among the floods of bad realtors that a FSBO tends to attract. Since then I have consulted with Mark several times on real estate questions and he has always courteously and promptly responded every time. I have recommended him to several people and they have always been satisfied with his services and professionalism.”
“Mark helped my wife and I look at a multitude of houses. We were looking for something near to downtown about 250-350k. He helped us narrow down what and where we were looking and showed us a lot of very interesting and unexpected options. Mark has close ties with several good lenders and titles companies. Providing options and finding you the best option for your needs.”
“Mark is the first realtor that I’ve met and not only been impressed with but also genuinely liked. He is a great person and an even better realtor. When my husband and I first started looking for a home in Austin, we went through four or five agents before Mark was recommended to us.
Unlike other agents, he took the time to get to know us and our unique preferences. I always felt like Mark was showing us places in the ballpark of what we were looking for. He helped us understand the trade-offs between what my husband wanted and what I wanted.
He was always, always available to answer our questions or show us something that just popped up on the market. He also seemed to have a really good handle on listings that were going to come on the market before they did. Right now, that’s a key differentiating factor in the Austin market.
Throughout the offer, buying, and home ownership experience, Mark has been a true partner. He’s so accommodating and helpful. I can’t recommend him enough.”
“Mark was the realtor who helped me purchase my home. There are few things more daunting than taking on a new and challenging job, moving to a new city and buying your first house. Now try doing all that within about three months. The new job is to be dealt with by oneself, there are moving services for moving, and, thankfully, for buying the house, I had Mark. I will be forever grateful for his assistance with navigating the quiet neighborhoods around Central Austin in the quest for the perfect place. Once said place was found, Mark made it a breeze to cut through the legal and bureaucratic jungle required to take ownership of it.
Hyperbola aside, Mark was punctual, a great communicator, had fantastic attention to detail, old-world manners and possessed a near-encyclopedic knowledge of the city. Our dialogue was open from the start and I quickly arrived to rely on and trust his judgment. These are, of course, all the traits that one would look for in an excellent real-estate business partner. However, there were a few things that, in my mind, truly set Mark apart from other (admittedly few) real estate professionals that I have worked with in the past:
1) An uncanny ability to LISTEN (versus TALK): he has helped me articulate my preferences and my needs, and was quickly able channel our efforts from what initially seemed like a wild goose chase to a focused and meaningful search. He did this in very few iterations with minimal waste of time.
2) Balance: he has always pointed out both the advantages and the flaws of all the properties we have seen, without ever trying to conceal the bad or overemphasize the good. In this sense, he has been, as pointed out above, a trusted business partner rather than a sales agent.
3) Patience: one of my favorite Mark quotes is “don’t worry, we will find it.”
4) Finally -and most importantly – vision and perspective: Mark has been in this business for a long time. Long enough to observe, absorb and understand trends, rather than try to glean them (or pretend to do so) from sales data. He has a deep understanding of the evolution of the city’s neighborhoods and of their future prospects (whether bright or less so), which means that the perspective that he provides will help you make a good home investment rather than a simple home purchase.
In summary, Mark has elevated the notion of service to an almost telepathic connection with the customer. I am glad I did business with him, I am glad to refer to him my friends and professional acquaintances who are considering a home purchase, and will gladly ask for his help in the future. He receives my highest possible recommendation.”
“Over the past two years Strub Residential has helped my husband and me find our home and our first investment property. We first dealt with Mark. We moved to Austin from Iowa and not only did Mark find us our eventual home, but he also took the time to look at apartments and helped us find temporary housing while we were house hunting. Mark is unassuming and laid back, but really gets people and helps them find THE ONE. Mark really made the process painless and demonstrated an immense amount of patience , knowledge of Austin and the different neighborhoods and ability to be upfront while dealing with two newbies who were nervous and distrustful of the whole process. He never made us feel ridiculous or stupid, even with our numerous questions and requests. My husband is somewhat of a demanding type, and Mark handled him with ease. When we decided to enter the investment property arena we of course knew we would use Strub Residential again. Christy worked us and at first we were nervous because a) we had already built a working relationship with Mark and b) we knew she was newly minted realtor. She proved our fears unfounded, helping us to find the perfect rental property and going above and beyond to set up inspections, meet with inspectors and get the property on listed for rent before we even closed. Christy is detailed, eager and really seems to enjoy what she does. Both Mark and Christy have the ability to make a business relationship feel like you’re working with friends. They also really get that the key to a successful business is service and that service doesn’t end when you sign on the dotted line. We plan on purchasing many more properties with Strub Residential.”
“Worked with Mark on too many transactions to count. He’s really organized and dedicated to his clients. Makes for a smooth real estate process every time. Impressive customer service and great communication. Doesn’t leave anyone hanging. Highly recommended.”
“Mark helped us find the perfect home. He not only listened to what we wanted but convinced us to keep an open mind and look at a some neighborhoods we would have not considered. Sure enough, we ended up in the neighborhood we would have never looked at on our own, absolutely love everything about the house/neighborhood and are more central than we thought was possible. Thanks Mark!!!”
“There are not sufficient stars allowed by Yelp to truly capture how great Mark’s services have been for us. The guy is the best Realtor in Austin, hands down!
Our relationship with Mark began when he helped us sell a condo that another realtor had listed for over 12 months. Mark listed it and sold it within 30 days. Amazing! Mark knows exactly how to stage and list houses. He has connections with Realtors with buyers always looking for investments. Mark’s amazing work was the key to us selling a place that had become stagnate in what is Austin’s seller’s market.
That sale opened up the opportunity for us to move forward with a house purchase, a purchase Mark undertook and navigated for us. His skills in this difficult market was the key to ensuring we had the “jump” on other buyers. We moved quickly, he worked the other realtor, and we had a signed contract within days of seeing the property. Our house has been a magnificent purchase! It gave us a great place, in a great area, and at a great price. Forward two years later, we are actively investing in real estate around Austin. All thanks to Mark! Mark came to us with an investment idea three months ago and now we are under contract on another GREAT property!
Mark has moved way beyond just being our realtor, he truly is a friend and confidant. Whether you are having trouble selling your home, just want to list your place, looking to purchase your forever home, or looking for investment opportunities… Mark is your guy! He will work tirelessly to ensure you are 100%, and more, satisfied with his services.”
“A couple of months prior to a trip to Austin to show my wife the city and potentially look at houses for relocating from Nevada, I had my wife research realtors in the area. She found Strub Residential and told me they had really strong ratings and reviews. I told her to make contact with them and see what they could do for our visit. She communicated with Mark Strub who seemed very willing to assist and set us up with an automated MLS feed for houses that met our criteria. A few weeks leading up to our trip, Mark would periodically check-in to ensure the feed was meeting our needs. Once we had our trip on the calendar we reached back out to Mark and confirmed the weekend we’d be in town, and setup a date to meet at his office. Prior to arriving, Mark informed us that he was going to sync us up with Pat Scott as Pat lives in and knows the area of our search Cedar Park/Round Rock. We then proceeded to map out a route and go see 6 houses from our list that Friday afternoon. Pat was extremely thorough in his route planning, and incredibly helpful in pointing out things during our visits to homes. That night and next morning Pat took it upon himself to pull some more homes based on criteria he observed that we liked or did not like in our visits the day before. We reviewed a new list and hit the round again Saturday to pound the pavement. After seeing a number of houses, Pat asked if we would be ok exploring another area that was just a bit further up the road, and actually where he lives now. We said we’d be glad to, and we are thankful we did. After looking at the neighborhood, we decided to hop in the same car and simply see if anything had popped up for sale. We quickly found a house that had just hit the market. Upon walkthrough it was a home we were very interested. Pat had us review the whole neighborhood and models for comparison purposes, and then we returned back to the house.
After traveling home to Nevada, we decided to put in an offer on the house. The negotiation process was efficient and effective. Pat navigated our every desire, and provided great communicative ability to ensure we got the deal we needed. Upon signing the contract, Pat was instrumental in assisting and being there during the inspection process as we were 1200+ miles away and helping coordinate and communicates every aspect of the inspection and resulting negotiation.
Once the process was complete, Pat was there for us at closing and beyond. We were thrilled to have received a generous Lowe’s gift card from Pat and a wonderful bottle of Champagne from Mark as thank-you’s.
Based on past experiences, I used to joke that I’d rather hang out in a room full of lawyers all day than have to work with a Realtor. After this experience, we are proud and honored to call Strub Residential (Pat and Mark) not only our Realtor, but our friends. They are the utmost professional at what they do, and they define going the extra mile for their customers!”
“Well, we have now sold 1 and bought 2 properties with Mark’s help and could not be more satisfied. You really cannot do better then Mark Strub when it comes to Austin real estate. He will get at least 1 more out of us and hopefully more.
Forget the rest. Use the best! Mark Strub.”
“If you are moving to Austin from out of state, Strub Residential is the real estate firm to use! I had called 5 other agents and none of them were able to assist us in this stressful time of our lives. Having to relocate across country because of a job transfer is bad enough, but not having a place confirmed to live in is even worse. So, I called Mark and he had a great property, in a great location, at a great price ready in less than a week. In addition, the electronic application process saved our lives; we didn’t have to run all over town to fax, scan, or print. I would highly recommend Strub Residential, they listen to your requests, they are professional, knowledgeable, competent, and they get the job done.”
“My husband and I are brand new to Austin (just moved here two months ago from San Francisco), so we relied on Mark extensively to figure out which neighborhood would work for us. We arrived in town on a Saturday, and Sunday morning we were meeting with Mark – he was our first introduction to Austin and it was a great one. Mark is prompt, responsive, organized and generally just a very warm and easygoing person. This was our first home and he made the whole process a breeze. The one day he wasn’t available for us, he sent one of his associates to show us around and his associate was great, courteous and very knowledgeable, so you can rest assured that his whole team will be just as responsive in the rare chance Mark is not available. We are so happy with our new home. We hope we will be in this home for years to come, but if we ever have real estate needs again, Mark is our guy for the long run.”
“Mark Strüb is truly an über-real estate agent! Our Austin home search began from our apartment in Brooklyn. Mark and my husband were in contact for a couple months before our move, narrowing down the search based on budget and various parameters we laid out to him like size, location, and amenities. We were sent an automatically updating list of homes almost on a daily basis for us to daydream about.
When we had made the transition to an apartment in Austin, we met with Mark so he could feel out our personalities and get a better sense of what neighborhood would be right for us. At that point, we were unsure whether to buy within the city limits or go further out to the suburbs.
Mark was always available at times convenient for us to show us homes that caught our eye. Not only did he provide valuable information about what to look for in the home itself, he also acted as an ambassador to the city, pointing out good restaurants, notable neighborhoods, info about schools, and other tidbits along the way. He made recommendations for mortgage brokers and insurance companies and was basically a patient, guiding hand throughout the process.
We ended up closing on a wonderful home that met pretty much all our desires within only a couple of months! We could not be more satisfied with the comprehensive service and professionalism of Mark and his team!”
“Our experience with Mark at Strüb Residential was absolutely wonderful! We found Mark via Yelp and the many excellent reviews he had received. And all of the reviews rang true! Mark was incredible to work with, and helped us in buying our first home. The process was relatively stress-free in a very competitive market. Mark is very professional but down to earth, easy to talk to, completely approachable, patient, informative, and knowledgeable about the Austin market. At every home viewing, Mark would walk us through the pros and cons of each property, providing us a balanced view to help in our decision-making process. We were all over the place with where and what we wanted to buy in Austin – we felt disorganized in our home search, but Mark was very supportive and patient and helped guide us back to what was most important to us. I can’t imagine having any other Realtor. He was responsive to and answered all of our questions and concerns, especially ones that were unique to first-time homebuyers. Being first-time homebuyers, we were a bit overwhelmed with how fast the process needs to happen in an extremely competitive market. One thing that was very important was that Mark was quick to respond to emails, texts, phone calls – anytime of day. When we found “our home,” we saw it on the listing the night before, the next morning Mark took us to see it, and the following day we made an offer. Mark eased our stress by being exceptionally timely and communicative, while at the same time, being able to work at our own speed. We never felt pressured. Mark always acted in favor of our interests. He provided great recommendations for lending and home warranty companies as well as home inspectors. He had specific strategies for choosing the best offer that was most likely to close, and helped us close on a home on 12/31/14, which was really important to us. He built a connection with the seller’s agent and helped build a strong case for us to be considered the top offer and stand out from the numerous other competitive offers. Mark continued to follow up with the seller’s agent during our option period, offered negotiations, as well as post-sale about details about repairs, etc. We got the house we wanted, and all of our transactions closed on time, and were completely pain-free. Mark has been a great mentor and friend throughout our home buying process and continues to be in contact and available for anything we would need. He does what he does because he is passionate about his work and truly loves his work. Mark is truly the best and we couldn’t be happier! Plus, he gave us an awesome Strüb onesie for our baby-on-the-way!”
“Mark is an amazing asset for selling your home and a great advocate when purchasing. He has great advice and insight and we couldn’t have done it without him. He helped to get our house ready to sell and hired a photographer and designer that I am certain made all the difference. He also did a great job pricing the house; it sold quickly but without leaving any money on the table. He then was a huge help purchasing our new house and has continued to be a resource throughout the building process. It is a great feeling to know we have someone so proactive and knowledgeable in our corner.”
“Mark Strub provided my husband and I with a great first time home buyer experience. Mark explained everything in detail in a manner that wasn’t overwhelming. He was always available and kept us in the loop throughout the process. We definitely recommend Strub Residential and will continue to use their services!”
“Since moving back to Austin in 2014 I’ve been looking to buy a place. After reading the reviews of Strub Residential I decided to work with Mark and his team. I have to say, the reviews were absolutely spot on. This isn’t the first time I’ve bought a home, so I’m familiar with the ups and downs. Working with Mark has only been up. He is very knowledgeable about the Austin area and what different neighborhoods have to offer and wasn’t afraid to give me his opinion on the pros and cons of the places I was looking at. Once I was under contract, he did his best to make sure I was getting a great deal. I’m not necessarily a cut throat negotiator, but definitely felt like Mark was taking care of my best interests and even getting me more than I was anticipating. As of this writing, I close on the house in 10 days and everything has gone smoothly (knock on wood), due in no small part to the team he has back at the office. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Strub Residential friends and family anytime. Great experience and I’m sure when I’m ready to upgrade, I’ll be contacting Mark to manage the sale.”
“I reached out to Strüb Residential partly on the strength of the super positive review on Yelp. We are buying sight-unseen from Colorado Springs. Man o man, are they good!! Mark put me on to Alex Tapp, one of his up-and-comers. Alex did a fantastic job finding us a condo in Austin. He was incredibly responsive, on top of every opportunity, and kept me and other agents informed. He did a masterful job working a thorny negotiation. It all came out in our favor. Cannot say enough good. Be careful of the giant firms that may not have the time to treat you right. These guys will.”
“As first time homebuyers we were nervous about the process. We had many questions and were initially interested in renting. After our first meeting with Mark, we realized, however, that we had more options.
Mark then introduced us to Stewart, who was AWESOME. What was great about working with Mark and Stewart was their patience with us. We had ideas of what we wanted and were looking for, but were not 100% solid on what that exactly looked like, and of course we had a lot of questions.
So thus our journey began. We looked at awesome condos downtown, east Austin and even Lakeway, and Stewart was with us every step of the way, answered all of our emails as soon as he could – which is a plus when you get excited about a house!
Once our offer was approved, Stewart was in constant communication with our lender and homebuilder to move things along. He was present at the inspection, walk-thrus, and of course closing. He is very knowledgeable and it was great having him there to assist us in asking all the right questions. Overall, extremely professional, timely, and personable!
We approached Strub Residential because of its stellar reviews, and at first one can be skeptical that every customer had a 5-star experience. However, these are reviews that can be trusted! They did an amazing job, and I will recommend this company to anyone in the future needing their services. I will definitely be using them again when the time comes!!!!”
“A fantastic gentleman with a deep understanding of Austin. His focus reaches from central Austin to the burbs. Great man for a tour, but far more importantly a great listener to what you want, need, and a guide on your journey to the best place.
Worth a conversation at the least. The information he gives which appears so effortless will take you a long time plowing through blogs, websites, and conversations. Save yourself time and make a good choice. Chat with Mark ;)”
“When moving to Austin we found Mark via Yelp and the many excellent reviews he had received and in short we were not disappointed. Our transaction was a bit tricky due to a short timeline, my changing of employers, and trying to do much of the transaction long distance but Mark handled all of these things excellently.
One example of his ability to go the extra mile to get results was when we placed the offer on the home that we ultimately purchased, there were competing offers and the timeline for reviewing those offers was not quick enough for when we needed a decision. Mark was able to get the sellers to review the offers (and accept ours) before the original deadline so that we could stay on schedule.
Other examples of his superior customer service include how he accommodated our house hunting trip on short notice, carving out much of a Saturday on hours of notice. He very quickly learned our housing preferences, recommended that we actually go to a lower price point so we could renovate it ourselves (and in doing so receiving less commission than if he had connected us with a pricier house), and actually helped us put an offer on the perfect house for us sight unseen.
But perhaps the best example of what it is like working with Mark is how shortly after we moved in (but before our stuff arrived) we were repairing things and realized that we needed a hammer urgently. In almost no time after learning of our issue, Mark went out, purchased a hammer, and brought it to us to save the day. I would have thought nothing much of it if the issue had gone unaddressed by Mark as it was just casually mentioned but he took the initiative to help us out.
It is for these reasons that we enthusiastically recommend Mark as a real estate agent in Austin and would undoubtedly work with him again when we need real estate representation.”
– Susan H.
“Mark helped us move twice already! The first was our cross-country relocation to Austin, and the second was our forever home in another part of Austin. He’s super knowledgeable about the city and its neighborhoods and he’s fantastic to work with. We’re lucky to have found him and recommend him to anybody who asks for a good realtor!”
– Rimma A.
“Per a reference from a good friend who had both a professional, as well as a personal, relationship with him, my wife and I contacted Mark a little over 7 years ago to buy a duplex in Austin and it was a totally positive experience. The property was, and is still, an investment for us, as we are musicians/artists, and we needed to try and come up with some kind of strategy that might enable us to retire some day. We had very specific criteria, including, but not limited to, budget limitations, and Mark’s skill as a listener paid off. Rather than try to steer us towards a property that did not work for us, Mark was able to work with us and our criteria, never trying to push his own agenda, as realtors so often try to do (from my experience), and, because he truly heard what we had to say, after less than a week of actual looking, we finally found a place that worked for us!
Prior to the sale Mark was extremely patient & helpful. As we live out of state, I literally did months of research before actually traveling to Austin and not only was Mark responsive to my constant email & phone queries regarding neighborhoods, school districts, potential for growth, etc., prior to the sale, he has also been great about helping us with issues AFTER the sale, such as referring us to a local insurance company, helping us find a good plumber, as well as an HVAC contractor, and the inevitable landlord/tenant issues that have arisen since our purchase, all things that do not put a dime in his pocket.
This is a man of integrity, not a word one often hears often in the same conversation as the words ‘real estate’… Despite the fact that we rarely see one another, I now call him a friend.”
– Andrew F.
“Yes really another 5 star review for Mark Strub. If you’re smart you’ll call him if you’re in the market in ATX for real estate. I have bought/sold 5 properties across the country so I have had experience with many realtors, and Mark is one of the best. Why? Ask any average realtor if they think it’s a good time to buy/sell and you’ll get fed a line of “absolutely rates are going up” or “market is hot, better get in before it’s too late” blah blah blah…self serving comments to get your hard earned dough. You ask Mark the same question and you will get a *real* answer, good or bad. He is incredibly honest and astute on the Austin real estate market, but most importantly he will tell you the truth! He knows what it takes to buy or sell that home you’re after/looking to unload.
He is that good, and I’ll prove it…Mark helped us buy 2 houses within the past 2 years. ‘Nuff said, call him. Or don’t, which is fine because then he’ll have more time to find me my next property!”
– Kohji O.
“This review is long overdue. My husband and I closed on our new home a couple of months ago. Mark was so fantastic to work with, that writing this review and letting other home purchasers know about Strub Residential was an absolute must (can finally cross this off my to-do list!). Mark was knowledgeable, efficient, an excellent communicator and the only reason we were able to buy the house that we did. The house was under-priced and in an extremely hot market, like Austin, within 24 hours of being on the market, there were literally over 10 offers on the home. Because of Mark’s experience, knowledge, reputation, and just being an overall bad ass, we won the bidding war. This was our first home purchase and he was incredible with walking us through the process. Despite his super busy schedule, he was always just a phone call, text, and/or email away. I honestly cannot say enough. If/when we ever buy again, there is only one person we are working with.”
– Elyse D.
“Having a realtor is kind of like having a therapist. House shopping can make you pretty neurotic and sometimes even depressed but Mark Strüb was always calm and collected as he listened to me voice all my concerns and “rationalizations”. He was always there to answer questions or if I just needed a sounding board – even when I would email or text him in the middle of the night… um, but don’t do that. And most importantly, he was enthusiastic throughout the entire home buying process. He never broke his charisma or let his passion for helping me find my home die.
Strub also “gets” the homeowner that wants to live in central Austin for different amenities and lifestyle reasons. This may be the most important quality you’ll want to find in a realtor. You want a realtor that understands your lifestyle and passions which in many cases is much more important than just understanding your budget or real estate policies and procedures.
I started off not really knowing what I wanted. I can’t count the number of houses we saw or how many times I changed my mind or expanded my budget (or how many phone calls that ended in “let’s go see it just ONE LAST TIME”), yet he was very patient and let me find my way on my own time. His knowledge of Austin culture, businesses and neighborhoods helped me quickly identify which houses to check out and which to not bother with which helped tremendously as I finally narrowed down what I was looking for (which we usually will all learn is that it’s really location) He also has a lot of connections and was really great at finding the right broker for me after the first one didn’t work out too well. I also really loved the home inspector he paired me up with.
I’ve happily recommended Mark Strub and his team to a handful of house-shopping friends and everyone has been delighted with his enthusiasm and dedication!”

“Unfortunately, Yelp doesn’t allow 6-star reviews.
My wife and I are relocating in Austin so I can attend the business school at UT. Mark spent several days with us in the competitive central Austin housing market and we found a wonderful house.
We had an absolutely awful time with our lender, but Mark was with us every step of the way and went WAY above and beyond the call of duty to get us into our house.
If you’re looking for an agent who is kind, courteous, professional, unbelievably helpful, tenacious, and willing to do whatever it takes to make your deal work for you, Mark Strub is your man. Honestly, I can’t recommend him highly enough. He is a WONDERFUL agent and he, no doubt, will be our agent for any deal we ever make in Austin.”
– Ryan T.
“My wife and I recently relocated to Austin, TX and we were somewhat familiar with Austin. We decided on an area of Austin that met our needs from a lifestyle perspective but decided we should follow-up with a real estate agent to be sure. Mark Strüb was highly recommended by friends and he came through for us way beyond our expectations. Mark read us so well and while he showed us houses in the area that we thought we wanted to be in, he then carried us into an area called Great Hills which we immediately fell in LOVE with.
After looking at a handful of houses, the one house in Great Hills was it for us! Mark was on target and didn’t waste any of our time. Expert in his field, personable as your best friend, on time for every meeting and truly has a high level of integrity and passion for his work!
Thanks Mark and we’ll call on you again for our next house hunting needs!”
– Dana S.
“My wife and I recently relocated to the Austin area and through her company relocation service we got a hold of Mark. We are very glad that we did. He was a pleasure to work with.
We had one weekend to view some homes and we had done some research and had a list of places to see. Mark added a couple others to the list and we viewed 10 homes that day. The next to last one turned out to be the winner and we were able to negotiate and close in 1 month.
Mark was very quick to answer questions take care of anything we asked for. his local knowledge and pleasant and professional demeanor made the whole experience top notch. We would highly recommend him and will use him again when the time comes.”

“My wife, Elyse, wrote a review on 11/15/12. I’d like to reiterate everything she said. I can’t imagine a better experience. Mark was very attentive, knowledgeable, and helped us snag a highly sought-after house (7 offers in 48 hours!) in SW Austin. When I screened realtors at the outset of our (first) house-hunting, I asked Mark why I should choose him rather than representing myself in the process (I’m an attorney, but don’t practice RE law). He responded by explaining how he’d add value in excess of the commission-split I’d theoretically earn. Looking back after several months, I know he was 100% correct.”
– Marc D.
“In total, I think Mark took us to look at probably 30 or 40 houses, but the story begins long before the house hunting process does. Mark invited my husband and I into his office when we first contacted him to get to know us and understand our likes, needs, and personalities. He then made some recommendations for areas we should look based on our desire to live as close to the city center as possible, be within walking distance to something (food, drink, shopping) and spend next to nothing. Mark had his work cut out for him, but he was unendingly patient, thoughtful about recommendations, and committed to doing everything he could to get us the exact house we wanted. Mark and his team are the most professional and dedicated real estate pros in the business. If you’re looking for a home in or near Central Austin, look no further, these guys are it.”
– Amanda S.
“I really can’t say enough about how wonderful our experience has been working with Mark. My husband and I are first-time buyers, and we came to this super competitive market with very little knowledge of the home buying process. Mark met with us right away, just to get to know us and what would be important to us in a home. My husband and I started out with very different must-have lists. It was clear from the very beginning that with Mark this would not simply be a search for a house, but for the truly perfect home for both of us.
Mark was always available to answer our countless questions and to take us out to see houses at the drop of a hat, if we were eager. His counsel and advice were invaluable throughout the entire process. Believe me when I say Mark has the uncanny ability to spot both great and terrible properties from a mile away. He knows every neighborhood we were considering on a street-by-street basis, and he helped us hone in on the one neighborhood that fit us perfectly.
When THE home popped up on our list of properties, Mark literally arranged the viewing and began the negotiation process while out of the country. On vacation. He was determined to get us our home on our terms, and did.
We will absolutely be joining the ranks of Mark’s repeat clients whenever we decide to make our next move (which is really hard to imagine considering how much we love the place he helped us find).”
– Lauren O.
“We have a pretty unique experience: Mark helped us buy our home sight unseen.
We had toyed with the idea of moving away from the San Francisco Bay Area, but weren’t sure where we’d go or how quickly. We met Mark in March 2013 while visiting Austin. Mark took a couple days out of his schedule to show us around the neighborhoods that fit what we were looking for: top rated schools, nearby amenities, decent square footage, privacy, quiet streets, etc. So many agents specialize in certain areas, yet Mark seems to know all of Austin fairly well. We toured Bee Cave, Westlake Hills and Steiner Ranch, and really loved the newer builds in the latter.
Nearly a year later, we decided it was time to move and Austin was our pick. I called Mark and he remembered who we were and our back story. The one catch was that flying back and forth with the kids was no-go, so we were going to rely on Mark fairly heavily for our decision. We chatted and decided Steiner Ranch was the right neighborhood for us.
We used Mark’s MLS tool to find the newest listings and when we saw what we liked, we’d call Mark. He offered to walk through, take additional pictures, and provide his professional feedback based on our preferences. It was like Mark was a virtual me.
Within a couple weeks, we found our home. Within a month, we were moved in. Everything about the house and neighborhood is fantastic: less than 10 years old, quiet walkable family friendly neighborhood, backs to open space, ample room for my kids, access to a private dock, fantastic HOA pools and playgrounds, with all top rated schools. Considering that I work from home, almost all amenities I’d need are within a 5 minute drive, and most weeks I don’t leave this little oasis. Most importantly, my kids are happy. They have their backyard, their own bedrooms, and their play areas. While we are the ones that made the decision to buy, we wouldn’t have known what to offer on had Mark not been present to guide us.
The relocation process was also very coordinated. We flew into town, got off the plane and looked at the house for the first time that afternoon. The following morning, we did the walk through and signed papers a few hours later. We ran into a minor snag which could have delayed closing; Mark would have been able to us up in temporary furnished housing should we need it. Luckily, we didn’t and within 3 days of being in Austin, we were sleeping in our new home. The information packet he put together had everything we needed to get utilities established and familiarize ourselves with the area.
Overall, a great experience. As we’re looking for additional investment homes, we will definitely call Mark.”
– Jonathan M.
“It took me a long time to find my perfect house, but it would have been a much shorter process if I had started with Mark. After having the worst experience with another realtor, who pressured me to buy a house I didn’t even want, I did some research and discovered all the good reviews associated with Mark.
The reviews don’t lie. Mark is the best. Not only did he make the effort to get my business in the first place, he stuck with me through the entire process, never giving up until he found the right house for me. He was not afraid to tell me when he thought a deal was bad, even when I wasn’t initially convinced, and discovered the right house for me after I thought it wasn’t even possible.
If you want someone to listen to what you want, who is willing to fight for you to get it, and is willing to keep working for you even after you think it’s hopeless, then go with Mark. If you want someone who’s just going to show you around their area and not really care what you ultimately purchase, then go with virtually anyone else.
It is a tough process to find a house in this market. Especially if you don’t want to compromise on location and price. Mark is the rare realtor that is good at his job because he knows how to listen to his clients, and knows how to get them what they want. Don’t go with a hack realtor…go with Mark!”
– Lindsay F.
“Don’t want to beat a dead horse here, so I’ll keep it short and sweet. If you need a realtor, go with Mark. It’s great having a realtor that’s in the same mindset as you are and understands your concerns.
We actually already had our house picked out (new construction), but recruited Mark to represent us for the rest of the process. Since his services were free for us, it was a great deal.
The best part was closing, when he wore fancy clothes looking good sitting next to me for an hour. I’m a straight married man, but not ashamed to admit that I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Seriously though, if someone in your close group of friends is not a Realtor, Mark is the next best thing (maybe better).”
– Noah K.
“My husband and I just finished closing on our first house with Mark and it was probably the best experience we could’ve asked for. We were first-time homebuyers so we had absolutely NO IDEA what we were doing or what what it would take to get into a home. We had been looking around casually for a home a couple times with different realtors around Austin, but was never blown away with their knowledge or service (hence the switching). However, Mark came as a recommendation from a friend so we decided to give him a try and lo and behold, he ended up finding us the exact house, price and location we were looking for in the 2nd house he showed us!
My husband and I were both shocked that a realtor actually listened to our specifications and wants and showed us the perfect sample of houses to help us make our decision. We were looking for a very affordable single family fixer-upper in downtown Austin (very rare if you are looking right now!). He never pressured us into buying anything and actually would recommend for us to pass on a house if it didn’t seem like it suited our wants and needs. After we decided to move forward, he was with us every step of the way and answered every e-mail and phone call almost immediately whenever we had a question. We also had to deal with some unprofessionalism from the seller which we didn’t know how quite to respond to, but Mark handled each response for us in the most professional and advantageous manner.
Mark is also a multiple home owner and landlord so he knows quite a bit about the work that goes into renovating and maintaining a property. He was able to walk us through each house and tell us how much work we would realistically probably have to put into it to make it what we wanted. What a great resource!
If you are need someone to baby you completely through the home purchasing process (and even if you don’t!), look no further — I promise you won’t find a better guy suited for this big life decision. Oh and did I mention he ended up giving us a fridge for our new home? Our house came with a crappy, dirty fridge and Mark had an extra one he decided to just gift to us before we had even closed on our house. This has nothing to do with how amazing a realtor/consultant he was to us, but just goes to show you that he’s a genuinely nice guy also. We will 100% for sure be using Mark again the next time we buy a home in the greater Austin area.”
– Pat C.
“Working with Mark was amazing. Since this was our first time buying a home, we leaned on Mark for everything. Every call was returned ASAP if he couldnt answer, every text was prompt. He understands the market very well and worked with the builder to get us the best possible deal. Of all of the homes that were built in the new development, we liked ours the best and we got it for the lowest price in the community. Couldnt recommend Mark enough. I had him review all the contracts and made sure he knew what I was signing and I felt comfortble. Great Expereince!”
– Kevin S.
“My wife and I just closed on our first home. It was a crazy 3-month adventure that ended better than we could have ever dreamed. Mark Strüb made it all possible.
From first phone call to closing, Mark has been there every step of the way. Calling him a “realtor” or a “broker” is insufficient. Working with Mark is like having a real estate agent, broker, economist, housing expert, therapist, counselor, confidant, friend, and spirit guide all wrapped into one. He deserves to call himself an “über agent” because that’s pretty much what he is.
There are the givens — the fact that he is a funny, likable, and a genuinely good person; the fact that he has a well-rooted, deep understanding of Austin and its crazy-evolving housing market; the fact that he has amazing connections in every corner of real estate (lenders, inspectors, insurance agents, contractors — you name it, he connects you to all of them); the fact that he employs the most up-to-date and efficient tools to help you find and secure your house (this is a must in Austin); the fact that he operates on an “on-call” basis (another must in Austin — I kid you not, he answered one of my calls while celebrating his wedding anniversary in New England); and the fact that he will go to battle for you (when he found out there were multiple offers on the home we wanted, he worked tirelessly, day and night, for a stretch of 72 straight hours to get us that house — he would not be denied).
Any good Austin realtor should possess these qualities. Where Mark separates himself is in how he views his relationship with his clients. It doesn’t matter how long it takes (in our case, it took three months), Mark’s objective isn’t just to find you a house — his objective is to help you find YOUR house. That distinction is important, and it’s what makes Mark a rare bird in his profession.
I’ll never forget when Mark took us on our first ride to look at houses. While driving, he would occasionally point out houses where his clients live (it stuck with me that he called them “my clients,” as opposed to “my former clients”). He pointed them out with ease, and I could sense the pride and happiness he felt about each and every one. My wife and I are so thrilled to now join the ranks of Mark’s clients.”
– Matthew M.
“If you’re like me and a little uncertain about how this whole house-buying thing works, let alone how to survive this insane market, let me save you a step. You can skip the ‘interviewing a bunch of agents to be sure you’re finding the best representative’ part. You can probably also skip the ‘home buying for dummies’ books, unless you’re the curious sort. Just hire Mark and know you’ve made a genius decision.
We had a very specific dream house – one that’s extremely hard to find in Austin in our budget range (Craftsman bungalow, original built-ins, great lot, great neighborhood, etc.). So when our house came on the market, Mark had us in to view it in, like, an hour. He submitted an offer for us within the next ~3 hours. Over the fraught bidding war days, he built a good relationship with the seller’s agent. So while our best and final offer was pretty awesome, it is Mark’s work with the sellers that set us up as the obvious choice. BTW, there were ten offers. 10! Madness! This is why you hire Mark – he not only helps you navigate a really intense process, he helps the sellers *know* that selecting your offer is right for them. We actually met the seller’s agent a few weeks after buying our home, and he specifically mentioned how impressed he had been with Mark!
So it’s probably enough to know that Mark is the guy to find and get you that one-and-only dream house despite a crazy housing market. But I also need to mention that Mark has great contacts and recommendations across all remodeling trades, advice when you ask for it, an unflappable and friendly demeanor, deep knowledge about Central Austin neighborhoods, a stellar reputation, and in general is just a great person.
If we ever get the bar unpacked, we’re going to invent a cocktail called the “überSTRUB” in his honor. It will taste like triumph.”
– Penelope H.
“I have high expectations to give 5 stars, and Mark Strub is definitely 5 stars. My husband, 2 young boys, and I moved from San Jose, CA to Austin, TX this past sumer. We bought our first home in Austin and we were THRILLED with our new home and Mark as our realtor. Trying to buy a home when living out of state has it’s challenges, but Mark helped make it a seamless transition for all of us. He’s also cool, calm and collected which we needed. He went above and beyond what we expected from him and did whatever he could to help us transition to Austin smoothly. He also had great resources for everything we needed in Austin. Aside from his professional side, Mark is a down to earth guy. He’s honest and not a salesman and will give you his honest feedback if you ask for it. He has good taste in location, community, and architecture and design as well. I would highly recommend Mark as your realtor, especially if you are moving across state!!!”
– Dana M.
“The reviews don’t lie – Mark is outstanding! My husband and I are in the process of relocating to Austin from Arizona and we started our search for a realtor online which can be difficult. We are also first time homebuyers. With the current market in Austin we knew we needed someone honest, experienced and on top of their game working with people out of state if we were out to get the quality of home we were looking for. Once we talked to Mark we knew that he was the right guy for the job. I have extremely high standards in professionalism and customer service and he exceeded every one of them. We flew in for a weekend, a holiday weekend at that and he was so happy and willing to show us every house that we desired. He gave his honest professional opinion unbiased to each and every house. He was not pushy and did not rush us. He really helped us to make the most out of our very limited time. He honestly wanted us to help us find the best house for our needs and growing family. We decided to go with a new build and over the past 7-8 months he has been with us every step of the way. Thank you Mark! He made this experience far less stressful and much more enjoyable then we ever thought it could be. We will definitely refer him to anyone we meet that is in need of a top notch realtor.”
– Angelica P.
“My husband and I found Mark through yelp and chose him because of the great reviews he has. (Thanks by the way to all the reviewers, your feedbacks were very helpful to us.) After working with Mark for a couple of weeks, without any hesitation, we subscribe to every single positive review posted below and to more. He is very professional, organized, well-informed, very efficient, patient and friendly. Only after a couple of days from our initial meeting, we managed to get pre-approved for a loan and started our search. His guidance and recommendations (e.g., mortgage lender, potential renovation costs, location, resale value, schools, etc.) were extremely valuable. We appreciated very much his straight, fast and honest answers and are grateful for everything Mark taught us along the way. We absolutely enjoyed working with him and if we had to grade him on my favorite 1-10 scale, we would have definitely given him a 10+. There is no doubt that Mark will be our agent for any real estate deal here in Austin and we highly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent realtor. Thank you Mark so much for everything!”
– Noemi P.
“I was recently having some Facebook comment banter with Mark and he made a comment that really struck me as deeply and incredibly true, it put into a single sentence why Mark and his team are so great.
Mark had posted about recruiting for new agents, I mentioned that too bad “sales” wasn’t my thing. His retort was: “SALES? How dare you, I didn’t sell C and you a thing. I just helped you through the process.” It honestly caused me to pause and think for a moment. No-one at Strub tried to sell me a home, not ever. He truly did just act as a agent of help. This my dear Yelpers is the difference, you tell the Strub team what you want, and they show you where it is. Geez, I love these guys.”
– Tyler W.
“My fiance and I recently purchased our first home together and I’m so glad we had Strub Residential there to help us every step of the way. Not only was Mark an amazing realtor who was able to guide us through the market to find our dream home, but everyone in his office was helpful, courteous and willing to go out of their way to help us when we needed it. There were several times when we decided we wanted to look at a property at the last minute, and there was always someone willing to meet with us and show us around! I feel extremely lucky to have found Strub Residential and will refer any family and friends their way in the future.
And, on a more personal note about Mark Strub himself, what a huge help! We put in our offer the first day our house went on the market and ended up being one of three offers! Mark was able to guide us through the process and the house is now ours! Even afterward, he’s been a major help in remodeling. Because we purchased an older home, we needed/need to do a lot of work. Because Mark has remodeled his own home and knows the market so well, he’s been able to guide us in what would provide the most resell value, and who we can trust to do a good job on restoring our original windows, hardwood, etc.
Honestly, I could think of a better place to go when looking to purchase a home in the Austin area!”
– Christina B
“Another positive review for Mark Strub. Yes, I have now used Mark 3 times. The first time, the inspection on the house fell through. And the 2nd and 3rd time was earlier this month. Mark helped us buy an amazing new condo, and oh by the way, was able to pre-lease our current residence so we didn’t have to break our lease to move (at no charge)…
Mark was always available whenever I had a “beginners question” or to consult me before heading back to the negociation table. I would go as far as saying that Mark is not only the best Realtor I have ever had; but that he is also one of the best business partners I have ever worked with as well…
As Mark has said, clients become friends and vice versa. I couldn’t agree more. Great job sir and thank you!”
– Dustin S.
“Strub Residential is fantastic. When I moved to Austin last year I was dreading going through the process of purchasing a home. However, Strub Residential took care of everything for me. They found me a house in a great neighborhood and in my price range. They took care of ALL of the communication and paperwork which allowed me to focus on my move.
I reccommend Strub Residential to anyone who is looking to buy a home! Thank you!!”
– Kimber M.
“The people at Strub Residential consistently went above and beyond the call of duty to make my home purchase possible. My situation was an especially difficult one; with a less competent realtor, I couldn’t have done it. Mark and his team made it happen within my budget, on schedule, and with style. As a foreigner unfamiliar with local neighbourhoods, and with little credit history, many realtors would have told me that buying a home during my first year in Austin was impossible, but not Mark. He was up for the challenge, and succeeded with flying colours.
Mark and his team have always been quick to respond to even the most unorthodox of questions, and cheerful in the face of my thirst for knowledge about the process of buying a home, financing my purchase, different neighbourhoods, house construction, and anything else that came to mind. Whenever I called to check on progress, they were already on to the next issue.
Strub Residential is especially attuned to the needs of young home-buyers, such as budget and location specifications. They also use technology very effectively to keep the lines of communication open. The Strub Residential team is truly concerned with providing a quality real estate experience. They followed through with me even beyond closing to make sure that I was fully satisfied.
I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Mark and the Strub Residential team to my closest friends, and to any home buyer or seller who enjoys working with competent, intelligent people. I look forward to working with themnagain when it comes time to sell my home.”
– Jenn N.
“We met Mark when he was the Realtor for the family we bought our first home from. Shortly after we signed our buyer’s contract our own realtor went MIA and it was like pulling teeth to get questions answered after all was said and done. I ended up contacting Mark to answer questions and he was always super helpful and kind even though there was absolutely nothing in it for him.
Since the purchase of our home, he’s answered other questions for us about our home value, house upgrades, and property taxes. He even sent a detailed spreadsheet to help us fight our property tax battle this year (which we won!). He’s a very genuine person who knows what he’s doing in real estate. Needless to say, he will be our Realtor next time around!
– Cheryl V.
“Mark was a great fit for my husband and me as we were learning and experiencing the process of buying our first house. He was calm and laid back, balancing out our stress and worry, and he made us feel comfortable asking our many questions–even now that we’re all moved in. He guided us through the offer/inspection/negotiation process and got us to closing in only about two and a half weeks. You’ll be in good hands with Mark–he really knows his stuff and he’s great to work with.”
– Killian P.
“Woo-hoo! We’re all moved in! I found Mark through a close friend who had also used him to relocate back to Austin. I live in Austin, but was ready for a change and a new address. I give Mark props because he met with us back in September/October and stuck with us through all the trials of getting my former house ready to sell, driving me all around town looking for the right neighborhood that would be just as good as my old one and finally when it was time, helping me to make an offer and find the right buyer for my house as well. It is not easy to sell your house, while living in it, and find a new one all at the same time, but somehow we made it all work. Mark was so encouraging, honest, and knowledgeable about the market. Buying and selling your home can be one of the most stressful things you’ll ever do, and that’s why you need a realtor you can trust. Mark definitely fit the bill! I highly recommend working with him, whether you’re moving to Austin, or just moving across town.”
– Sarah C.
“Wohoo is right. I’ve dealt with other Realtors and he is the best. He is extremely professional and goes the extra mile. Even through a failed house search the first time, he stuck with us and found us a great house. He was patient and we never felt pressured through our decision making process.”
– Jen S.
“Here is the thing – we really felt that Mark “got” us and understood our wants and needs immediately, even though they were “not average” and our wish list changed over the course of weeks. Since we were buying in a city we do not know well, it was even more important to have someone who really knew the area’s trends and prices.
Mark is smart, energetic and knowledgeable. Good work!”
– Mark + Sheila
“We came across Mark Strub & Strub Residential by chance when we were relocating to Austin. It was definitely a stroke of great luck. Mark took the time to show me around on a visit prior to our move, even though I told him we would not be buying for some time. He explained the different neighborhoods of Austin, and it was very clear that he was extremely knowledgeable – not to mention enthusiastic. He listened carefully to my comments and questions, and worked with me to “home” in our preferred options. Mark has also been kind enough to advise me on the sale of our home out of state – something of obviously no gain to him other than what he and his company excel in – helping their clients. When we come to purchase a home I will have absolutely no intention of looking for any other agent. The tools and resources they use are so much more than lame listings, faded flyers and open houses. Lastly, as if being efficient weren’t enough, they’re great people.
If your preference is for a “pile ’em high” cookie cutter agency then perhaps Strub Residential is not for you, but if you’re looking for excellent service with a personal touch, and people who will go more than one extra mile then look no further than Strub Residential.”
– E S.
“This year my wife and I had the pleasure of working with Eddie Hart to purchase our very first home. Eddie was and still is amazing! He was able to go above and beyond to fulfill all of our needs during the home buying process. Eddie was patient. He helped us develop a game plan together, and he gave wise counsel along the way (he still continues to do so months after the home purchase).
During the process, Eddie helped us narrow our thinking and really settle down on what we wanted in a new home. He was so good we only looked at 6 homes before we knew we found the one. He was available on weekends and same day to view homes. Eddie even worked on his vacation!!!!
My wife and I certainly recommend Eddie for any home purchase needs. We plan to continue working with Eddie on selling and buying any future home purchases. If you want a trusted partner, you want Eddie and Mark.”
– Carey M.
“My wife and I bought our first house with the guidance of Mark in April 2014. It was a smooth and pleasant experience! In fact, it was such a wonderful experience that I immediately referred Mark to some friends and colleagues.
Mark is extremely knowledgeable of the Austin market, and understands what it takes to get you into the house you want in one of the most competitive markets in the nation. Being first time home buyers we were a bit overwhelmed with how fast we had to jump on houses we wanted. However, with the coaching of Mark we landed the house we wanted and within our budget.
Since we closed Mark has still been there to help! Whether it was telling us to file for our Homestead Exemption or offering suggestions on home improvements that can increase resell value, he’s been a great mentor and friend.
If you are considering buying or selling a home, talk to Mark. During that conversation you’ll quickly realize that Mark does what he does because he’s passionate about it and wants to make you successful in your home buying/selling journey.”
– Charlie B.
“I contacted Mark Strüb last year after seeing his stellar reviews on Yelp and noticing that he is an alumni of my department at UT. He was super helpful and put me in touch with Stewart Lane at his company, and my wife and I had our own MLS search page up within the hour.
Although most of my contact was with Stewart (who was AMAZING!) during our search for a condo, Mark checked in periodically to make sure things were going well. And everybody else at Strüb Residential that we had contact with was great to work with as well.
At our closing, we were presented with a lovely bottle of champagne and a professional binder with all of our documents and homeowner insurance inside. A really nice extra touch on the extremely smooth and pleasant process we had with everybody at Strüb. We would highly recommend Mark and his team to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. And next time we buy or sell, we will definitely be coming back to these guys!
Thank you Stewart, Mark, and the rest of the Strub Residential team!!!”
– Jay H.
“Mark is an exceptional realtor, far exceeding my expectations! He walked me through every step of the home buying process. He put up with my 1 million questions I had and he even gave me advice and information about certain things I would never have thought of on my own. I felt very safe having such a SME on my side so I knew I wouldn’t be making any mistakes during the process of such an important purchase. He was available night and day, whenever I needed him, he was there. I can’t imagine someone being better at their job than Mark! He is so kind too!”
– Nikki H.
“Mark really went above and beyond for us in our house-buying process. The market in Austin is really competitive, but Mark kept his cool and helped us get a great house at a great price — even in the multiple-offer situation you’ll inevitably find yourself in in Austin. We had to make several offers on multiple houses along the way — and one house fell through right before closing (not his fault at all), but Mark never got discouraged and kept with us until we found our current home. I appreciate Mark’s honesty and knowledge about the houses we saw along the way — he was always checking the electrical, water, and heating systems to make sure we knew what we would be getting into.
I would highly recommend Mark to anyone — especially if you are looking in the downtown or surrounding areas. He has also helped out with real estate questions well after closing the house. He’s a stand-up guy.”
– David L.
“We were referred to Mark by our relocation company. What we are most impressed about Mark was his ability to understand our preferences, even very early on in the process of helping us find a house. Mindful that we knew nothing about the city, or the States for that matter, he’d take the time to help us figure out which area we’d like to live in, and what kind of feature in a house would we like and not like. Because of how well Mark was able to understand our needs and preferences, he was able to recommend houses that matched our need. Many a times as we reviewed the list of houses Mark recommended, we were impressed at how he totally “knew” what we were looking for and would respect that. He was also honest in giving us feedback on criteria we’ve overlooked. We’re truly happy to be able to find just the right house with Mark’s help.”
“My husband and I have worked with Mark and his team on several occasions; all being exceptional experiences. Our first encounter was on a deal that did not work out due to some issues with the house itself, but Mark remained engaged and helped us to find a better home to suit our needs. Shortly there-after, we found a great home, and had a seamless experience. Mark is extremely knowledgeable on the Austin market, always available, and always reliable.
Recently we moved to NYC, and rented out our home. While this isn’t something Mark and his team do regularly, they were willing to go the extra mile and help us out! I have, and will continue to refer Mark to everyone that will listen because he is that great!”
– Ashley S.
“Mark was such an excellent resource to us, especially because he helped my husband and I throughout the entire process of buying our FIRST home….We were not at all comfortable or confident in the process of buying a new home as we had never done so. Mark could not have been more wonderful to work with as he made this process not only stress free but also enjoyable and exciting for us!
Mark is so knowledgeable about not only Austin, but also the industry as a whole. He had so many tips and helpful advice throughout the process from beginning to end. Mark thought of things that we never would have and really helped us make the best decision for us. Mark helped us find the perfect home and it was clear that our happiness and satisfaction was always his top priority.
He consistently went out of his way to ensure that were taken care of. One example of this is when we found our perfect house and were ready to buy…Kevin and I were set to go but Mark said he first wanted to see if he could negotiate anything extra for us. He ended up negotiating a lower price, all new landscaping AND a brand new stainless steel fridge that he saw in one of the other new homes in the neighborhood as a display. We would have not even known to ask about any of that. This made it clear to us that his clients’ best interest is always what he keeps in mind.
Mark made us feel so comfortable and confident and was always available to answer any questions we had. With it being our first time buying, we had A LOT of questions!
Mark was always so kind, patient, and helpful! Mark not only met but exceeded our expectations in every aspect. We look forward to working with him again in the future and highly recommend him to anyone and everyone looking for a home in the Austin area!”
– Katie S.
“I will keep it simple because that’s what Mark does when you work with him. My wife and I have used Strub Residential three times now over the past 8 years for both buying and selling here in Austin. Mark is the most professional, dependable, hard working and honest realtor out there. I don’t think there are any other traits you will be looking for in a realtor to help you through what can be a very stressful time for some. Mark will take on your worries and concerns and do what it takes to make it happen for you without cutting any corners nor compromising what is important to you. He will promise you less and deliver more, he will go above and beyond for the cause. This is why he is the best around! Call him up.”

“Hiring Christy Strub to be my real estate agent was an easy decision. While Christy had not yet sold hundreds of homes in Austin, she had more knowledge, passion and confidence than dozens I had interviewed and encountered when preparing for this decision.
The Strub group had previously advised me against a sale less than two years prior, recommending that I wait for a pending market change. What great advice, because when they did proactively call me with market insight, the overall experience was very positive (I believe) for both the buyer and seller.
Christy’s professional manner and organizational skills make her an excellent real estate agent. She was able to assess the home and make recommendations (coordinating actually – since I am a busy business traveler) the efforts to get the home sales ready. She definitely went above and beyond what is common for an agent. The marketing materials, reporting and pricing guidance were above my expectations. The process she managed, leaving me out of all the nitty gritty details, was exceptional. At the end of the day the seller’s real estate agent was also very pleased to work with Christy. Closing went perfectly, and I was a happy home seller. I highly recommend Christy, the team she brings behind her and their experience and wish I had more homes for her to sell. Christy will be my realtor for life!”

“So helpful and professional! We just bought a house a month ago and Mark was our agent. The market is moving so quickly right now, we were really frustrated, but Mark gave us some solid advice and stayed on top of what was available.”
– Tonya M.
“My husband and I have had such great experiences working with Mark Strub. He was incredibly patient while helping us literally search every corner of Austin for a house to purchase. He connected us to a great mortgage and title company who were also fantastic to work with. Then he put us in touch with a contractor who did a fantastic job installing new wood floors He continues to follow up monthly and help out with any questions that might come along as we adjust to living in Texas after moving here from out of state. Mark is the best, full service real estate professional around. We will use him again for any real estate needs we might have. Call Mark, you won’t be disappointed.”
– MaryAnn C.
“Mark is THE best realtor that I have ever met in my entire life. He sold our old house in an area that was very hard to sell houses in and helped us close on the house that we currently live in (a dream house!). He was easy to work with and easy to get in touch with- I never felt like he was talking down to me or over my head! When we went to look at new houses, it was like we were hanging out with a friend who was looking out for our best interest. AND he always had good advice about the new houses he showed to us. He is not like other realtors who can come off as condescending or even sleazy – which me and my husband have encountered before. I cannot say enough good things about Mark! If you need to sell a house or buy a house, then he’s your man… and our man – if we ever move again the first guy we’re calling is Mark.”
– Laura P.
“Me and My Girlfriend were buying our first home together. We spoke to different Realtors to make the right decision in buying our home. Mark was recommended to us by a friend and it was the best decision we made. He is was always easy to reach, always knew the answer to any question and concerns we had, always easy to meet when needing to look at homes, and he made the whole process so easy. We were looking at homes at the peak of Austin’s realty market and homes were flying off the market that same day but he was cool about it all and helped us find the right home for us. After being in our home for 7 months we love it and glad he was there to help us get our first home. I know it took a while to write this review but after hearing people tell me about their buying experiences I knew we were lucky ours went so smooth. So I would absolutely recommend Mark to anybody buying a home.”

“This review is a long time coming–as it turns out, home ownership is time consuming! We’ve been settling into our house for a few months now, all thanks to Mark and his amazing team! When my partner and I moved to Austin last year from California, we knew we wanted to buy a house and we knew our budget…and that’s pretty much it. We were lost when it came to navigating the crazy Austin real estate market, and were feeling kind of overwhelmed with the whole process. Enter Mark Strub. Now, I’ve had a bit of experience with realtors before, as my mom has worked in real estate her entire life, so I was expecting a ‘realtor’ when we met up with him the first time…you know the drill, they ask you what you’re looking for and then somehow at the end you’ve been talked into something else entirely without even realizing it…but Mark is not your typical realtor. From the very beginning, he made the whole process of buying our first house into more of a journey, and not a treacherous obstacle-filled one, but rather an enlightening, exciting, and completely stress-free journey. He’s like the housing therapist you didn’t know you needed. He provided us with so much more than just being our agent, he really took the time to walk us through everything step by step, holding our hands the whole way, and always putting us at ease like an old friend. He never tried to convince us of anything except to trust ourselves (thanks Mark!), and always offered advice and his own personal anecdotes when we asked. He knows everything about the Austin market and was always truthful, never trying to ‘spin’ a situation to his benefit (like I’ve experience with realtors before). He truly had our best interests at heart, and it showed. His knowledge of everything having to do with the Austin market was pretty amazing–we bombarded him with questions about housing, rates, trends in Austin right now, landscaping, renovations, cool bars to check out in our new neighborhood, even some design input (because he’s just that badass), and he always had an answer or a name of someone he would personally recommend! Never in my life have I met a more knowledgeable, sincere, and helpful real estate professional. Plus he’s just a supremely nice guy and is really cool to talk to. Call him now if you need a real estate agent/housing therapist, I promise it will be the best decision you make in the whole house hunting process.”

“Mark Strub is the ultimate professional. When we were relocating to Austin from Kentucky we were connected with him through the University of Texas. He helped us find a perfect rental for the first year and then helped us every step of the way as we bought a new home.
He even went to court with us, and served as a witness, when the landlords from whom we rented (Bob and Maria Holzmueller, dba as the HG Group) withheld an enormous amount of our deposit. He helped us receive a fair judgment finding against them.
That, to me, is the consummate real estate professional. I would use Mark again and again and would recommend him with 10 stars, if they were available.”
– Paul T.
“I’m not generally a fan of realtors. In the past, I’ve lumped them in the same bucket as the worst of the worst of used car salesmen. I can genuinely say that Mark completely changed my opinion and showed my husband and I just how valuable an excellent real estate agent can be.
Mark took the time to help us figure out exactly what we were looking for. He was patient with us and provided helpful insight as we worked through our different ideas of our ‘dream home.’ Beyond that, he was always available to show us new listings; and the few times that he wasn’t, he found another colleague who was. We always felt like we were a priority for him. He was so accommodating to our many questions and went above and beyond to do analysis and pull reports of different areas. After months of looking, he knew exactly what we wanted. So, when the right house came on the market, he helped us jump on it and get our offer in first. Within 24 hours, there were seven other offers. He came up with a great strategy to ensure our offer was chosen and thoroughly outlined all of our bargaining options.
He didn’t stop there, though. Mark was a great asset throughout the buying process and even after. He has continued to provide support even after we moved in and got settled — from finding a painter to plumbers to electricians, he has a network of solid people with excellent references to call on.
In my opinion, Mark is a one-of-a-kind realtor and the only one you should consider working with if you’re buying in the Austin area.”
– Kara N.
“I worked with Mark for over 6 months to buy a perfect spot in downtown Austin. He is very patient to understand your needs and provides very helpful feedback on the properties and neighborhood. His experience and knowledge about downtown properties helped me to zero-in on perfect spot without breaking the bank!
He understands the stress of buying a house and is always just a phone call or text message away. He is very courteous and was always at the meeting location before the scheduled time.
It was a very pleasant experience working with him and I am sure he is top of line in the real estate business. He made the home buying process stress-free. I highly recommend Mark as the best real estate agent in Austin.”
– Anuj S.
“I would give Mark 10 stars if it were an option. I was completely new to the homebuying process and had no idea what I was doing. Luckily with Mark, I didn’t have to. He walked me through the entire process and made it SO much easier than I ever thought it would be. He’s very no-pressure and totally understands the emotions behind finding the home that’s right for you. I highly recommend him!!!”
– Anne P.
“Really excellent experience working with Mark, he is very attentive, engaged and works hard for both the buyer & seller. We worked with him on both sides of the buying and selling process and couldn’t be happier. He’s the best!”
– Mary H.
“I found Mark through yelp and decided to go with him for the purchase of my first home. I’m pretty particular about things, and I wanted to find the best realtor to guide me through this daunting process and Mark was the right choice. Mark was informative, patient, and extremely helpful. He helped guide me through the process from start to finish, and went out of his way on several occasions. Mark was thorough and attentive, even for someone like me who can be pretty demanding! We had a pretty short time to close on the house due to outside time contraints, but thanks to Mark we met our deadline and At the end of it all I closed on a beautiful new home!!! I couldn’t recommend Mark more and will be referring all my friends and family to him if they are ever in the market for a home.”
– Vinh N.
“Mark helped us buy our first home in the summer of 2011. We knew exactly what we wanted, and once we found a house that matched 85% of our requirements, he worked really hard to get us that house. Seller’s camp came off as rude and deceiving, and if we did not like the house as much as we did (and do now), we would have walked away from the deal, with Mark’s full support. Throughout the entire process, Mark made sure that our interests are protected first and foremost, and it worked out really well for us. Thanks Mark!”
– Jelka T.
“Mark Strub helped my wife and I purchase our first home. He was extremely helpful throughout the process and we highly recommend him to others, especially first-time homebuyers. From the outset, when we were in the process of interviewing real estate agents, he was the only one to meet my wife and me in person to discuss our interests. Instead of telling us what we should want, he listened to our likes and dislikes and very quickly was able to playback neighborhoods and types of homes we might be interested in.
After selecting him as our agent, he quickly set us up on his own online portal with home listings that he thought we might like where we could view the homes and rate our interest. After looking at homes for 3-4 weeks, none of the homes quite fit our preferences and budget simultaneously. However, one weekend morning, Mark suggested we take a look at a home he had found that was just on the market that he thought we might like. We fell in love with the house immediately and put down an offer; it was amazing how he knew exactly what we wanted in a home.
It turned out that even though we were in the first weekend, we were in a multiple bid situation. Mark’s advice was essential in winning the bid. He knew what to offer and even wrote a personal letter to the seller describing my wife and me. Through the closing period, Mark was by my side. As it was my first house, I was somewhat obsessive about all the particulars coming out of inspection and Mark was present when I had multiple roofers and stucco specialists come out to the house to assess. There turned out to be no major problems, but Mark was patient throughout the whole process. Mark also helped us negotiate during the closing period to a get a discount off closing costs and the sale price.
After purchase, I still use Mark as a resource. He is always willing to answer house questions and recently helped me in selecting an attic insulation contractor. Mark is exactly what I think one should look for in a real estate agent. He is patient, attentive, creative, insightful, and committed. I highly recommend Mark for anyone looking to buy or sell a home in the Central Austin area.”
– Josh S.
“Working with Mark was effortless. With Strub, you get the whole package. Not only is he likeable and personable, but he really knows Austin. What’s selling. What’s not. What’s fair. And what’s the right strategy, whether you’re buying or selling. His advice was spot on. If we had listened to ourselves and our emotions, we would have missed out on $20K. But Mark tactfully guided us in the right direction. If you’re buying or selling in Austin, call Strub.”

“I met Mark when I was a renter – he’s was my landlord’s agent when she decided to sell. I worked nights at that time and he went out of his way to be respectful of my weird sleeping hours. As disappointed as I was to have to move, Mark made it as painless for me as possible. When I mentioned being unsure about buying instead of renting again, he got my email address, did a personalized analysis of which would make the most sense for me and sent it the next day. Considerate, professional and an all-around nice guy.
Fast forward a couple years when I was finally ready to buy for the first time. I made the HUGE mistake of using two other (lesser) agents over the course of a year trying to buy. This was not only a frustrating experience but also an abysmal failure. After making offers and missing out on several great properties, I called up Mark.
What a difference it made to have Mark working for me. He helped me find a perfect house on a big, wooded lot in an area I never thought I’d be able afford (78704EVER!). The first day it went on the market I drove by. Cars were parked everywhere and lots of people walking around outside. The next afternoon, Mark and I went to look at it together even though I didn’t think I had a chance. I was sure it was already under contract. But when I told him “I want it”, he went to work immediately. He knew just how to structure an offer that would be accepted and like magic it was under contract for me that very night.
Between contract and closing he did everything for me. He met me back there anytime I wanted to look around “one more time”. Arranged all the inspections, surveys and helped me counter-offer the seller when we found things that needed work. The process for me was essentially effortless. And a lot of fun for a change.
I can say without a doubt that I wouldn’t have this house if I didn’t have Mark as my Realtor. He saved me money and got me a place I never thought I would find. I recommend him to everyone I know that is looking to buy or sell. Mark will be my Realtor if I ever decide to sell or buy anything else.”

“My family moved across country this summer, from Wisconsin to Austin. We were in the market for our first home and were fortunate enough to land Mark as our realtor. In short, Mark was the brightest ray of light in our entire–rather stressful–moving experience. Here is a list of why we believe he is so great at what he does, and why we would recommend him to anyone in the market for a home:
* We felt like we could completely trust him from the first time we corresponded.
* He really listened to what we wanted in a home and did everything he could to get it for us. He was always completely non-judgmental about our preferences.
* He was both honest and comforting at the same time. He made us feel like everything would be okay no matter how stressed out we were during the process.
* He made an effort to teach us about things.
* He was always there for us, even from across the country–constantly asking if there was anything he could do for us.
* He was friendly, warm, and yet always professional.
* He was dedicated to us and spent the better part of a week chauffeuring us around Austin to look at close to 30 homes over the course of 4 days during our one and only house hunting trip.
* He was efficient and responsive.
* He guided us through every house we saw, but seemed to know when to step back to let us look and think.
* After we had decided on a home, and particularly after we closed, he made us feel really good about our decision, which is important when you have just made the biggest purchase of your life and may be feeling a little overwhelmed!
* He worked really hard to get us the house we fell in love with, which received three offers in its first 12 hours on the market.”

“Christy Strüb of Strüb Residential could not have come at a better time in our lives. Recently engaged, my fiancé and I were on the fence about whether or not we should buy property in Austin. When we met with Christy for the first time as our realtor, she explained things in great detail for us, taking us step-by-step through the looking, lending and buying process, and really helping us figure out our wants and needs in relation to the current market. Having Christy as our realtor immediately made us feel relaxed and confident as first-time homebuyers to take a bite out of Austin territory.
Once we started the search, Christy worked tirelessly for us in one of the most insane real estate markets out there. Christy would be out at 8 am looking at two or three houses with me, and then turn right back around at lunchtime to look with me again at a promising house that just came on the market. We would call her late at night and on the weekends, and she always made us feel like a priority, and that she truly wanted the best first house for us to call home.
With Christy by our side guiding us through one of the toughest buyers’ markets out there (bidding wars, houses pending within 24 hours, anemic inventory) we were able to find our first home within a month of searching! By the time we closed on the house, it had only been two months from the time we had our first conversation with Christy about buying. Some of my friends had horror stories of spending six months or more in an exhaustive and unfruitful home search, and I truly feel like I owe everything to our wonderful realtor with her smart strategy and keen eye. She is so hardworking, dedicated and focused, and someone I consider a dear, dear friend. Down the road when it’s time to start thinking about real estate again, she will be the first person I call!”

“In a real estate boom town like Austin, it seems like everyone is a “realtor” – a friend of a friend, your yoga teacher, a client’s wife… it’s easy to feel like you have to work with someone because of a personal connection. When it comes down to such a monumental life decision though, you need to choose a true industry professional, and I would highly recommend Mark.
As two full-time working professionals, the last thing that we wanted to do as buyers was run the Austin-rat-race of real estate: having to leave work on a dime to see a newly listed property or get stuck in a multiple offer scenario that pushed our offer beyond our comfort level. Mark found us a pocket listing that met ALL of our criteria in an area with extremely low inventory. We were able to negotiate one-on-one with the seller and come to a fair deal that left everyone feeling gratified.
So now it’s Sunday and we owned two houses. Mark and his team sprung to action. By the following Saturday, we had our house staged by a professional designer, beautiful real estate photos shot and posted to numerous online outlets, and our house officially on the market. On a cold, gloomy day when we expected little to no traffic, we generated four showings and three (!?!) offers, driving our asking price up by an additional $10K and with a closing date that allowed us enough of a window to schedule a stress-free move into our new house.
There are a number of agents that pick up the trade to make some extra money. Mark is not one of those. He lives and breathes real estate and is one of the top ten realtors in our city (#6, to be exact). Our first deal he negotiated during his birthday party. Our second deal he negotiated until 11:00 pm on a Saturday night. He does what it takes to make his clients needs and wants be met, and is truly an advocate for you during the process. We cannot recommend him highly enough.”
– Chris H.
“Mark assisted me with the sale and purchase of my home and his commitment to his client’s satisfaction and success is unparalleled. He takes the time and effort to go the extra mile and ensure that your personal and financial objectives related to the purchase or sale of a property are met. Mark exceeded my expectations every step of the way.”

“When we started looking for a house we figured it would end up being just like the first time, difficult. I was the one having to reach out asking about properties that had been listed for a couple days and then work to make our schedule accommodate our current realtor so we could see houses.
Five years later, we decided it was time for an upgrade. We were nervous about all the work it was going to take, but we really wanted to move. I looked around and saw all the great reviews for Mark Strub and his team, I decided to take the chance with them and it was an awesome decision.
Mark came out very quickly and looked over our house since we were looking at buying a new house and then selling our old house once we had moved. He gave us some pointers on what we should update or do to the house to help it sell faster. We got a couple lender recommendations and he answered all our questions.
We knew that buying a house was going to take at least a month since we were doing some financing. So, we started looking for new houses right away, Mark recommended one of his agents that specializes in North Austin. Here is where our journey with Stewart begins. From the get-go Stewart was responsive to any questions or viewings we want to see. He came to our house to look at it and gave us some estimates on what it would potentially sell for when we were ready to put it on the market. He was interested in knowing what we wanted in a house and probably knew what we wanted more than we did! He was knowledgeable in what to look for that may be “issues” with a house later and what would end up being a money sink or a quick fix. He also had that sense of urgency for us to view houses, since most in our price range were going selling very quickly. He obviously knows this business very well.
We found an amazing house that was slated to pick an offer a week from when it was listed. We went and looked at it the day it was listed and loved it. We decided to look at other houses before we put an offer in, since we had a week (famous last words..). A few days later, Stewart called us with a sense of urgency. He had been watching the listing and the wording had changed and didn’t say when they would accept offers. He had called the other agent and found out they were picking an offer that night. So, at 9PM that night, Stewart called us and walked us through the offer we wanted to put in on the house and answered any questions we had and then submitted it. Stewart let us know, that it may be a few days before we hear and that we can continue to look at houses for a backup, if we wanted. However, the sellers made the decision quickly and chose our offer. I also want to point out that the customer had several cash offers, but chose to go with our offer even though we were financing. I highly believe this is due to Stewart and his advice to us when putting the offer in and the letter that he had us write to the sellers (he also wrote one as well).
The lending process was not smooth unfortunately. There were a couple issues that came up. We were trying to close on a Friday (instead of the Monday, which is at 30 days), but due to these issues we were not able to close on Monday. Stewart worked with us and the lenders to get as much resolved as possible (like going to the IRS office to get tax documents that weren’t ordered). The lenders were very apologetic about the situation and I know that Stewart was doing everything he could as well to resolve the situation and was very understanding when I needed to vent about the situation.
Then we moved in and started the process to sell our house. This went extremely smooth. We posted our house, sold it, and had the money in our bank in 11 days. The original buyer was going to finance, but then switched to an all cash offer and Stewart helped explain everything we needed to know and do with such a fast closing.
I believe that a lot of the improvements (we talked with them about) in conjunction with a great market, helped us sell our house that quickly.
I can’t imagine having done either the buy or the sell without Stewart and as long as he is still a realtor, I never will!”
– Jennifer W.
“Mark helped me buy my current home and sell my previous house. Having worked with a variety of realtors, this experience was solid. He was a genuine pleasure to work with. Seeing a listing you want to check out before it is snatched up can make you feel anxious, especially when you are looking to buy with your house on the market. However, Mark proved to be consistently reachable and enthusiastic about promptly seeing my properties of interest, and actively worked to ensure that my other house was sold quickly and for a great price. He provided well informed advice that reassured me about the processes of both transactions, and the results really speak for themselves. My confidence in him meant I was able to enjoy the house hunting process much more and he helped me find the perfect house for my family! My son is still rocking his ‘Too Big For The Crib’ shirt; a funny and nice gesture from a funny and nice guy. Thanks, Mark!”

“We chose Strub Residential for our recent move from South Austin to Round Rock. I am so happy to have found them. Our realtor, Alex Tapp, was consistently easy to reach and flexible to meet our needs. He was helpful at every turn throughout the entire process. I will definitely recommend him to family/friends in the future.”
– Kimberly K.
“I’m very happy with Mark Strub and Strub Residential. Mark is a great guy who found me what I was looking for and helped with recommendations on everything from lenders to contractors. Highly recommended.”
– David K.
“My wife and I needed suggestions on selecting a new home. We found our ideal spot and made an appointment to meet with the builder in a Saturday afternoon. And guess what? Our agent was not answering our phone calls since the Friday before. So we called Mark in the Saturday morning, and he just showed up at the meeting in the afternoon. Yes he just showed up from nowhere, just like that 😀
After we signed the contract, he answered tons of questions from us, because we are first home buyers. And he has been continuously helping us even now, after the closing!
So, no more words, hands down to Mark!!!
Do want to mention one more thing here: Mark has a strong artistic taste, you will know when you see his badass business-card. A strong artistic taste is a superior skill for a real estate agent when comes to picking a home for his/her clients :D”
